Skoda Kodiaq [2017-2020] User Reviews

I've driven the Kodiaq for 3,000 kms now and just finished 2 months. To start with, it disappointed me coz it stalled on the very first day. Got a warning that engine was overheated and to stop the car. The service guys came over, took the car and came back the next day. It was fine only for 2 days and the service guy had to come over and top-up the coolant. After that, I can say is that it has been a smooth and exciting drive. The mileage is low in city conditions. About 8 kmpl. But on the highway, put on cruise control and drive at around 100 kms/hour and it gave a mileage of 17 mph. It even gave me 20 kmpl when driving at about 80 km/hr. Great features packed into the car. Park assist, auto lights, rain sensing wipers, triptronic gears, speed limiter, cruise control, front seat adjusters, multi-panel instrument panel, full length panoramic sunroof. And then the Skoda specials - The boot opens with a swipe of the foot, head light washer spray, umbrellas packed into the front doors, detachable torch light in the boot, detachable tray in the boot, door protectors, head rests that have side cushions in the back row seats....Very thoughtful features. The L&k version with chrome touches on the roof rails, exhaust pipe, front grill and body coloured bumpers definitely appealed to me. I love the sound system. The entire family has raved about it and my boys love the car in entirety. The feedback is that Skoda can perhaps improve on the dashboard cluster and the auto gear shift. The third row is just okay, meant only for kids but well, you cant have everything. For the main thing now, which is driving pleasure. It stacks high. I've driven other premium cars and this is really cool. The discomforting factor with Skodas was always the service costs. I've driven the Laura and Superb for a few years and while the cars were great, the parts and service costs were dubious. The 1 lakh km warranty or 4 yrs warranty gave me the necessary courage to buy this car. Plus the 66,000/- service package for 60,000 kms or 4 yrs was very helpful in making the decision to buy. A friend of mine told me that it is a thinking man's SUV. That description makes sense to me.

This is the skoda kodiaq and as the name suggests it takes inspire from the large bear.. well this is first truely desirable car skoda has ever made and it offers decent value for money... Comes in two variant 5 seater nd 7 seater.. as you know the skoda kodiaq is made up on the vw famous MQB platform.. so it looks quite good on the outside.. you get LED headlights DRLs and the tail lights are LED... it doesnt look quite suv like but definitely looks butch and bulky also the audi q7 like design gives it premium appeal.. the door handles nw when you open the door the rubbery cladding comes out to protect the door which is quite a good feature.. also you get umbrella holders with drainage inside them.. nw the interior and coming to the back seat.. the seats itself are very comfortable ,acres of leg room and head room.. in fact a 6 seater would definitely be comfortable in those back seats.. also comes with the recline function in 40:20:40 split.. and one added up featyre what skoda calls nap pack is what i like the most.. also comes with rear ac vents as well as 12v socket which is also gud for this price range of car..coming to the third row.. its better suitable for kids.. The boot it quite large and offers huge amount of storage.. but with all 7 seats up you only get boot space just like a hatchback.. Interior Nw the front.. in terms of design you know its not the best design but really it looks quiet smart.. and lots of practicality.. skoda has given plenty of cubby spaces and decent sized glovebox.. also the quality of material is very good soft touch plastics all around and really its a very nice cabin.. in terms of features you get all the basic features with lots of other features which no other cars in its segment and above offer. The infotainment system comes with satellite navigation,android auto and apple carplay.. its gets 9 airbags.. rear oarking camera, rear parking sensor, park assist,abs, ebs, ebd, hill hold assist and the list just doesn't stop Overall one of the best cabin in terms of space, practicality and features.. a thumbs up to skoda Drive.. So the kodiaq comes with the same engine as the skoda superb but with a lower state of tune... The drivebility of this suv is more of sedan like.. however the nvh level are not thats gud.. it comes with adaptive dampers so that you can choose to different driving modes.. overall the performance is punchy and quite gud for a car of this size... So for a price tag of 40 lakh and above it competes with like toyota fortuner and ford endeavour... But in my opinion its a little pricey.. but as we know skoda is well lnown for their value for money offering and this car does the same.. it comes with plenty of feature.. rich in space and comfort and the skoda build quality adds up to the value.. So in my review i give it a strong 8.5/10 overall score.. a worthy score for the kodiaq

Details about looks, performance etc: Wow it's Indian economy friend compare to BMW and Mercedes

Buying experience: I researched a lot just then this car caught my eye. The cooperatives at the Skoda motors were really helpful and it was a completely different experience upon buying it.
Riding experience: Smooth drive along with the power you need. It certainly has all the luxurious features a person wants.
Details about looks, performance etc: The new design comes with completly stunning looks also it has a power packed performance. It's a better performer than its rivals.
Servicing and maintenance: Regular servicing and maintenance is required like any other car.

Pros- -Loaded with all features -safety also good Cons- -price, if you want value for money then it's rival ford endeavour is there with 1000cc more power and all features of skoda kodiaq. -if any one think to buy this car means,hope he/she can add 5-6 lakhs more then there is bmw, audi, etc.. -In india bmw and audi have more face value.
