Exterior SUPER. The metal is strong...wholy exterior is superb.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) You will get power windows for both front and rear doors. You can sit comfortably in drivig seat. Three can sit comfortably in rear seat.luggage space is highest in its segment. Leg room is also very good. A.C is too good. Its length is also highest in its segment. Technology used is superb.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is good. But pick up increases only when turbo is charged. I felt clutch peddle is someought hard to press like diesel IndigoCS. But once turbo is charged its like a Horse. In this varianrt there is seat hight adjustment. It will suerly give 18km/lt.

Ride Quality & Handling To drive its an owesome experience.Brakes are good. But its more wonderful experience to drive its petrol variant(but no milage).

Final Words pick up has to be tuned Eg:If you encounter a slightly upside road you have to  press accelarator peddle and it will take 2sec to take pick up and when you have to deviation during driving you have to change the gear. Its first service is only after 15000kms, here some say it becomes costly. So check it out. But these problems are not occuring in i20 diesel. So chosed to take i20 diesel and its magna model is value for money thanks to CarWale.

Areas of improvement Increase of no. of service centres,no tape recorder in both active and ambition model, pick up has to tuned like in i20,As its on road price 7.99lack(fabia)they can suerly add extra accesories.

You will get power windows for both front and rear doors...Engine performance is good.Full black coloured interiors(no beige colour combination). It gains pick only when turbo is charged

      Exterior

The exterior is very very solid. Very Good Metal Quality from Skoda. Could have been little more stylish.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

      1. Boot Space : Fiat Punto & The New Maruti Swift has to beg for this much of boot space. The moment you open the boot, you feel WOW for this hatchback.

      2. Leg Room : The leg room is very good. I give more importance for Leg room, especially for ladies and elders seating at rear. Believe me, with this car, you can take the highway non stop for even a 300km.  The rear seat is very comfortable.

      3. The AC is good, The car came with a Skoda Audio System which supports a AUX and CD. The sound quality is good. The audio system could have had a pendrive and Bluetooth portability.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine Quality : Me before purchasing this car, read the reviews of others.  Many said that the engine noise is high. But believe me, the car had more engine noise only for the 800kms. Once the engine gets tuned and refined, The engine noise reduces. I have driven the car for 5200km till now in 3 months. I can see the difference. I cant harldy hear the engine noice now.

Fuel Economy : In City its 15 Kmpl & Highways 23Kmpl. I am satisfied.

Gear Box : U should realize that you are driving a diesel engine. When you cut the gear from 3 to 2, you can feel a little sluggishness in the pick up with AC switched on. But thats fine in City Driving. No body in city driving can touch 100km with top gear. So its useless talking about pickup in city limits.

Yes in highways the car is very good. The one driving should be a good driver.

      Ride Quality & Handling

The ride quality is good. Even when drivig in a Highway, you wont get the air noise inside the cabin. The handling is very smooth. The driver surely wont get tired.

      Overall it has passed.

      Final Words

This is the question which veryone has when purchasing a car. Even i had, before 3 months. The question is which car to go for? I was looking only for the highend variants.

Ford Figo or Fiat Punto or Volkswagen Polo or Skoda Fabia

Ford Figo : It is a decent car. When i sat inside. Somehow i got this cheap feel of interiors. The glossy Silver Finish. I rejected it. Still its a good car overall.

Fiat Punto : Loved the technologies they have brought it. MAN you get everything inside the car. Steering mount Buttons. Bluetooth. Auto lights. Auto wippers, Auto climate control. It is superb value for money. but if you sit in the back, you will get knee pain and when you plan for a trip please take some additional surf excel or Rin to wash your clothes, becasue you got to reuse your clothes since you cant carry more due to very very small boot space.

Volkswagon Polo : Spot Rejected when sat inside the car, in the showroom. Its clear, folkswagen is makes us look like fools. The cheap steering and cabin look. The front & rear seat is very very cramped, you can even travel within the city.

Skoda Fabia : The fabric finish inside the interiors, the solid buit, very good Boot and Leg room. The height and Pull adjustable steering & SKODA Batch.  Above all, I give importance to people who are sitting with me in the car. Their comfort is very importance.

So went for SKODA FABIA & I AM HAPPY.......

      Areas of improvement

Bring in the technologies into the fabia.... The rest will be taken care by SKODA Batch....

Seating Comfort, Leg Room & Boot Space, Height & Pull Adjustable Steering, Tough BodyNo Stylish Interior, No Auto Climate Control, No Steering Mounted Control.

gr8 compact a car with longer wheel base, longer than swift and swift dezire, gr8 boot space, not so high price
      I like Classic version,
air bag, cd player, 18km/liters mileage, Rear A/C..
Not a copy of swift, but swift is a copy of fabia
The noisy engine is trade mark of skoda TDI engines
which are one of the different engines all over from world which increase the noise but also increase the pick up, which surely can not get on any deisel engine car which doesnot have TDI or PDI
Technology like common rail engines which are in swift, optra, etc etc

gr8 fuel economy, good stylenothing to say about engine noise--THIS IS A TRADE MAEK OF SKODA

At 160 Kms per hour it is more stable than any sedan below 10 lacs.
If you feel it is too expensive for a hatch you are picking your own pocket. The boot is 300lit. So call it a station wagon and feel good.
Fuel economy is above 17 in city and highway. Go for the diesel only. If you have petrol in mind go for something else. It also handles rough roads well. Again better than any sedan below 10 lacs. Ditto for the suspension. Well worth all it costs. The music system is top of the world. AC could be better. Fantastic security system. Do not go for first looks. You will have to drive 5000kms to understand the car. If you drive less than 10kms in a day go for something else.
fuel economy, handling, safety, feellow clearance.

As one unlocks the car from its remote, it doesn't make annoying noises. Its a decent click. You open the door and feel the strong built and you start feeling from then on that Skoda is serious about safety. As you sit on the drivers seat you have the flexibity to adjust the Steering wheel as well the driver's seat to your own comfort. Electrically controlled rear view mirrors make sure you have to do none other than moving a bit of your right hand to adjust those. Ready to drive, you put in the key and crank start your car. It picks up very nicely, and as it picks speed, you continue to like it more. At higher speeds also, it continues to be very stable. No wobble what so ever. The AC is just perfect. The integrated music system is a heart winner. The leg room is the best amongst the competing cars. The car has potential to compete with a TATA pick up if you folded the rare seats to use its boot space. That's a bit exaggeration, but truly it is never short of space.

Talking of safety, the car has pretensioned seat belts and dual air bags, ABS added to the fact that the car has been mad quite strongly to start with and no compromise has been done on quality of the materials used.

Its secure like a Vault. Each time you put in the ignition key, a new code a generated to match up the credentials of key put in. If broken in, it will get locked and become immobile. The stereo is also the secured in the same way, and even if someone manages to steal it, he would never be able to play it.

Maintenance wise, the frequency of the trips you need to make to the service centre is much lower than for its counterparts. First service is due after 7500Kms, to give you a hint.

The sense of style only adds to the value. In the nutshell, the car offers everyhting you could ask for in this segment except for the fact that it is priced higher than any other car in the segment, so being on the expensive side. Its fuel economy doesn't shoot through the roof but is decent enough givent the fact its a comlete quality package. All in all, those who want a car they want to fall in love with, this is the one.

I have a Petrol fabia. This car is a really luxiourous in its segment!

The performance of the car is very nice, it is stable at its top speed of about 155 to 160 km/hr. For long drives it is much much suitable as there is much space in the car, big leg room and a nice boot space at back.  The engine is sufficient enough for the car 1.2lts. It is 3 cylinders engine but the power is equivalant to 4 cylinder engine. The milage of the car is nice 15km on higways and 12 to 13 km in city with minimal A/c. The features of the car are real attraction, One can say no car in this segment has this types of features.

One important thing i would like to add "There are air bags not only in top end but also in basic models" this shows how important even an indian is for the company.

The car has a very nice driving experience, fuel economy is pritty well, Top in class for spacelow ground clearance

I test drove the car yesterday. Although I fell in love with this car's looks the moment i saw its adverts and on road ever since it was launched, I had to gauge for myself if good looks came with good stuff. Despite the numerous criticisms inflicted upon this car, I was determined to give my own verdict only after i tested it. This as already quoted by some reviewers before me is definitely not a car for a person who goes by the price alone or evaluates a car based on it's category (hatch, sedan etc.). This is a car for those who value design, style, comfort, performance and safety. I test drove the Swift VDi a couple of months ago and almost made up my mind to buy it before I test drove the Fabia. To be honest, i was never a fan of the swift's design but against my own liking and because of budget constraints, I had almost decided to buy it until I test drove the Fabia. Well, honestly I am not buying this car immediately but when I do buy a car in near future it would be none other than the Fabia Ambiente.

I wouldn't narrate the feature list as many of you would have already researched it by now but give a perspective of my emotions during the hour long drive that i had with this car. I am given to assume that firstly there is definitely no car in the Indian car market that compares to the Fabia in the looks department within the hatchback segment. Secondly, the engine noise, which has been berated ubiquitously  seems to be disposition that requires getting used to. One thing though, is that the engine is certainly not underpowered, it does a 180 easily as said by the test driver whom I am predisposed to believe as I certainly wouldn't jet off at that speed. However, I did do a 100 and trust me, it felt as being ensconced in a tight secured space. No wobbles, jerks or any sesations of fear aroused me at that time. The height adjustable seats, tiltable steering wheel are just to add comfort during the drive. The A/C works fine and so does the music system which of course has an Ipod compatibility. The brakes for me seemed to be super sensitive and I had a hard time getting used to. They just halted the car at the slightest of touches. Perhaps, this might not be a queer feeling for many of you but for me it was.

My final verdict is that I love this car the way it is and wouldn't buy another car for its value. It's got the looks, features, style and safety and not many hatchbacks come with all of it and if they do, they come pricey like the Fabia.

I have got numerous inputs on the mileage, but I wouldn't worry about too much considering that this car would be with me for many years to come.
Awesome interiors, stunning looks, safety features, attention to detail feature loaded and what not?noisy engine, indicator and wiper levers swapped in positions, peculiar positioning of lamp switches

I bought the classic 1.2 fabia last month. First the few good things about the car - great interiors, ample space and legroom. Now the long list of bad things - 1. horrible pick up; I feel like I am driving a 5-6 year old Indica. 2. Horrendous fuel efficiency - 6-7 kmpl. Though I havent got it checked yet but going by past experience I dont see how these guys are going to improve it. 3. Poor service - I can see a marked change in the attitude of the sales personnel post the purchase of the car. 4. Noisy - Sounds like a diesel truck. Doesnt feel like I am driving a petrol car.

I purchased the car since I thought the discount offered last month of 60k would make buying the fabia at that price a steal. But I realize I have made a mistake. Would recomment people who intend to buy it, to refrain

Hi, I had a test drive of Fabia Ambiente 1.2MPI. Over all I was impressed by the car. on the positive side the car has all the safety and luxurious features that anyone will like to have. Also checked the classic varient it is also good but the it is not having  dual tone interiors and does not give u the fresh and classy feeling. On the other side Ambiente is having dual tone interiors, air bags and alloy wheels. Very much liked the heavy strong built of the car this will definately keep it stuck to the road, the gears are ultra smooth like a joystick gives excellent feel and will make comfortable drive in traffic.

But still there are three ponits which is holding me to go for this car.

      1. The AC does not give good cooling ...in the rear seat AC chilling is negligible, I have read the reviews and its said the it has rare cooling ducts ..but the showroom guys said that it is not a feature in Fabia.

      2. The average claimed is only 10/11km/ltr. Technically it is not clear to me why a 1200 cc engine with 70 ps power should give such a poor average. ( and that too with a poor ac).

      3. Cost of spares and avaliablity.

Any Fabia owners/lovers please help me with your experiances on the above points which will help me to decide on this car.
