Exterior I like to looks of Fabia, though it is subjective. I would appreciate if Skoda adds a rear wiper at this cost. Fuel refilling requires the car key to open the inner lid of the fuel tank. Most petrol pump attendants face difficulty.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) One of the best in Fab. Very comfortable for a small family of 4. good head room and leg room. Rear seats are very good for kids but adults may find it difficult to sit for a long hours. Enough thoughts for holding bottles, glasses, papers, books, cooled glove box etc. The music system is very good in quality. I would appreciate if Skoda gives rear speakers as well.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I have made two high way travel of about 400 Kms each. Both times it gave me the average of about 18 Kms (5.4 l/100 Kms) In the city travel (Indirapuram to NOIDA and back) it gives me about 8 to 9 Kms. My learning is that if you drive with accelerator control (less break, less clutch) the efficiency is amazing.
Ride Quality & Handling Easy to handle, swift enough for city traffic, light steering, effective breaks. Shockers are really good.
Final Words A very good car for a small family.
Areas of improvement Engine vibration / Noise after 1000 Kms of running. A rear wiper and rear speaker.

Exterior
It is very good, stylish and you feel that ur driving higher end car, i feel proud to drive this fabia.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interior space is bigger than Swift, and i feel much confortable in space and boot space. In a day I have driven 800 KMs, still i was feeling any pain. Seating confortable is the best. My friend (Dr from Coimbatore) was driving innova for 8 years then last year he baught Fabia, his feed back is fabia is the best in driver seating confortability, After driving fabia it is very difficult to drive any other vehicle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine is noice less, fuel ecom=nomy is very good, I have driven 43,000 Kms in one year, it is giving average 18 Kms per litere in Highways and in city it gives 13 Kms per litere.
Gear boX is the best I have ever seen in any car, you can put gear in single finger and even after 43,000 kms it is same as like when I baught as new. Putting gear gives immense pleasure and as like cuting a butter with hot sharp knife.
Ride Quality & Handling
Even in 140 Kms it is stable because car is very heavy. I happended to hit a lorry from behind, nothing happened to me, if it had been some other vehicle then I would have died.
Maintanence is very cheap than maruthi, every 15,000 kms we have to do service, service charge is Rs.9,000/- only max.
If we proerly do the insurance yearly then you no need to spend much amount, i met in an accident twice but both the times I had to pay only less than Rs.1,000/- only.
Final Words
I recommend this vehicle strongly. I love this vehicle.
Areas of imrovement
Nothing to be improved, in this segment it is the best.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox :
smooth engine and good gear shift. fuel economy is decent but lacks punch in the lower RPMs. fares really well when the car picks up some revs.
Ride Quality & Handling
quality of ride is very good with minimal body roll. handles really well around the corners and steering is precise. handles bumps and potholes with ease and is indeed a mile muncher.
Final Words
a great car for those who like the unique no nonsense styling of skoda. it is great on space, handling and comfort. it is uniquely styled and not everyone's car. it has plush interiors and give a very upmrket feel compared to other cars in its class.
Areas of improvement
does not fare well with cars like polo and i20 primarily because it doest have a long list of gadgetry even though it is a better built car in its class. if improved upon, it will give these cars a run for their money.
classic styling, handling, spaciousair conditioning could be better

I would take this opportunity to request the readers to go through the various comments of the forum, which shall be useful and wish to thank the readers and other people who have taken out time from their busy schedule to write their comments to help others take sensible decision. This review has received an overwhelming response (crossing 20,000 in less than a year). I shall update with other startling facts soon as its going to near 1 year. Please remember we have collectively presented our opinions but the ultimate decision should be YOURS to buy this car or
Dear Friends, I am a doctor by profession & need to travel approx. 50-60 kms in city. Earlier to this car I have used FIAT PADMINI & FIAT SIENA and no wonder I was having a hard time in finding a suitable replacement as safety was an issue paramount for me. Mileage could have taken a backseat but alas FABIA provided me both, a solid, tank like built with a reasonable mileage/ltr of petrol.I had zeroed to three cars; SWIFT ZXi, FABIA & FORD FUSION. Even though FUSION is good in many respect but in comparison, is really costly without enough safety features. Finally it was to be b/w FABIA & SWIFT. Both these cars are good in their own way. Rather owners of SWIFT are very satisfied and happy as it drives very well, is a bit cheaper and has MARUTI service back up. It should be your personal choice which is paramount. But the difference in the pricing (approx 64K) in NOIDA seems justified because of following reasons as FABIA;
1.Has REAR AC DUCTS and MUSIC SYSTEM with external input 2.Is approx a foot longer than SWIFT (3992 against 3695mm). It is taller too. 3. The REAR INTERIOR WIDTH is 20mm more than SWIFT (1310mm against 1290mm) Kindly do not be under the impression that SWIFT has wider seats. But of course SWIFT is wider from outside (1690mm against 1642mm of FABIA). I guess interior width would matter to the most. 4. 60:40 split of rear seats are really handy and you would find it useful on many occasions. SWIFT doesn’t have the same. 5.Has MOTORIZED rear view mirror which can be heated as well, absent in SWIFT 6.Has REACH & RAKE adjustable STEERING WHEEL, which is absent in SWIFT. 7. DICKY space is much larger in comparison to SWIFT ant it comes with two tier adjustable parcel shelf 8. Is heavier and solidly built and comes with a FLOATING IMMOBILZER as against STATIC IMMOBILIZER of SWIFT. 9.FABIAs back seat has significantly more leg & head room.
Though I am not happy with the noisy engine (considering it to be a petrol engine), the jerky ride when you shift the lower gears or while there is a change of speed as well as other noises in the cabin
A word of CAUTION: Kindly get to know the important switches like indicators as it is on the left side of steering wheel, lights switches as it is placed somewhere else, REVERSE GEAR is forwardly placed. If you are not convinced about taking it alone, request the outlet people & hopefully they will get it delivered at your address. In all I am satisfied with my choice and I hope my satisfaction remains the same way. Kindly dont take me wrong when I say FABIA AMBIENTE can even be compared to the top model of HONDA CITY in terms of features. Check & compare the specifications of both to believe it.
While making a decision b/w petrol & diesel variants of FABIA kindly do some calculations and then take a decision as u would be paying considerable extra money which can be saved. Though current diesel engines are really topclass but the age-old fact remains that aftre 2-3 years they require more maintenance.
The petrol mileage of FABIA is pretty decent as after driving 4000kms now in Delhi & Noida, I am continuosly getting 12-12.5km/ltr of 91 OCTANE petrol with 100% AC on & my driving includes approx.20kms in 4-5th gear, 20kms in 3-4th gear and 10kms in 1-2-3rd gear. I remain hopeful that after 1st service I should get atleast 1km/ltr increase in fuel effeciency so that will take the mileage to 13-13.5km/ltr and also to get rid of the annoying WHINNING SOUND inside the cabin.

Just to mention on the looks, its like a bad job of changing the face and rear lights on the swift....looks more or less like the swift from the sides , at this price you can get a lot better and bigger cars and the swift is a lot better priced and original looking, just a bit compramise on the space (a bit ) and you actually get a better car than Fabia....expensive maintainenece , engine is not great and it is badly overpriced...this ones a downer in front of Swift and Getz.....with the new 1.3 multijet DDIS engined New look Indica on its way...this one looks grounded even before it takes off......NOT VALUE FOR MONEY AT ALL

It holds more features(ABS, Air bag, Comfortable space, Stylish). But the price is too high which cannot be affordable and Engine noise is pretty high, when compared with the other vehicles of this range. The affordable price to this variant is 5 to 6 lakhs..

My vehicle has only run for 12,000 Kms in last 8 months and it has been to workshop for running repair(Engine Misfiring and fuel starvation due to faulty fuel pump)4 times and for 19 days.
Very Very Poor after sales service and totally indifferent attitude of Customer care officers of Skoda.
Skoda slogan that Quality Since----- is totally misleading.
Skoda people/Engineers have still not ready to accept that Fabia Petrol Version is not suitable for India and especially in hot weather. They are trying to force the customer in accepting the vehicle with these problems for the reasons best known to them.
I need comments/opinion of other users and of course a legal advise. I need my money back

Exterior The fabia has a skoda logo on it, a high stance and a long wheel base, which overall gives it imposing looks + skoda has really managed to hide all the bulk with its design making the fabia look mature but classy. The Active model though lacks the side strips and alloys hence it looses out on a bit of the charm, thus i give it a 4/5.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior quality is great and the car feels buit for a lifetime. It is filled with things that would make you feel special, like the lamp lit glove box and boot, rear ac vents for a starter. space is the best in its class as is the same with the comfort on the car...even the I20 cant match it. However, all black interiors on the active model give a very gloomy look, besides the green lit instrument cluster also looks quite outdated.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is 1 area I hated to the core on the skoda. Engine performance was absolutely pathetic, it has a good initial response however, past 3500 rpm the car feels strained and feels like its begging you to stop driving it.
Also, the 3 cylinder engine cant really handle the heavy little skoda with the AC on, it stalls frequently on the traffic lights and while climbing slopes you really need to cane the motor to keep the car moving. I loved the gearbox though, it is so smooth and slick that it waves of a bit of the awkwardness of the engine.
Fuel economy again is lower than most cars in its class. I drove about 15 kms in the city and 25 kms on the highway and got an avg of 9.5 - 10.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is simply superb, the car gives you the red carpet ride which even may be the accent or the ford fiesta wouldnt.
Handling is great again, accurate steering, stiff chasis and a marvelous suspension help you dart around corners with ease, unfortunately we dont have a powerful engine under the hood to complement the same.
Final Words It is a car to be chauffer driven, sit back and relax. Not to the tastes of a driving enthusiast. If you want a comfortable cruiser the fabia is the car for you. However, be careful not to damage it, it is a white elephant. a scratch can drill a big hole in your pocket enough to give you a heart attack.
Areas of improvement Power and fuel efficiency, also the parts list. Way to expensive to maintain.
