The Styling and usability of the Renault pulse is excellant.The standards of manufacture are very high with a high degree of precision in assembly.The european styling with simple but utilitarian design is very usefull and functional.

 Interior spacing is very good with comfortable seating for 4 and  very good boot space.The added features like power rear view mirrors Excellent Air conditioning , All door power windows are really very good. the onboard computer giving the present mileage and average and Kms to ZERO reading is very usefull.

Engine Performance is the highlight of this vehicle.Smooth drive even at 4th gear you can drive the car at 20 Kms/hour. The gearbox uis very slick with smoothe transmissions. the power train is always avalable for quick over taking, and in controlled driving conditions will give you upto 25 Ms/Litre of diesal. it is tested and prooved by me.at 100 to 130 kms/hour speed the vehicle is very stable adn breaks efficiently without any rolling.

 

Ride Quality & Handling is excellant and the gutters and pot holes are not felt at all....

 

Excellant car for city Riding and long distance travel. You will never feel the strain of driving.Do not buy any other deisel car before test driving Renault PULSE. The French Knows what they do in Automobile....

 

The dealer network has to improve.The service and accesory market is not upto the mark. hope it will improve as Renault establishes itself in INDIA.

Hi, I am Antony Jayan KJ, resides at Malappuram, I am a proud owner of RxL, My car has done 5000 Km. The AC has stopped working suddenly, also there is a more prominent thud when the compressor of the AC starts every time. I checked it with the calicut dealer for a day and they said that it should be due to low coolent levels and they topped up the coolent and released the vehicle under examination. After comming out ot the showroom, in less than 1 km, the AC stopped working and blows only hot air. I am anxiously waiting it to be rectified soon.

Since the purchase, after doing around 500km the engine noice has become more evident inside the cabin. Also feels that the power need to be hyped up little bit especially while driving in hilly areas.  All praise for the efficiency, am getting average 23.7 kmpl as overall mileage.

Exterior: 

colours could be differnt. I feel the exterior design is  very normal.The curvy design at the top adds an attraction to the vehicle. I love the shape of the headlights.it gives an exceptional look to the vehicle.

The interior space is very comfortable. and it is really very spacious and comfortable for long drives.its like sitting in a sofa in my house. it gives a comfort drive.

music system is really awesome. it gives a very good stereo surround sound and gives a very joyful journey.

automatic door lock security system is a very attarctive facility.

Airconditions are very effective.i can feel a very good cooling even in sunny days.

as far interior designs are concerned it could be better and attarctive. it lacks some interior designs.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

engine performance is very good.It gives a very quick pickup which gives a comfort drive even in the traffic. i feel it great when driving my car to the college in the chennai tarffic.

fuel economy is good.For long drive its really very fuel efficient.am maintining a mileage of 18kmpl with airconditioned drive.

gearbox is very flexible but not as in ford figo but flexible.

 

Ride Quality & Handling

power steering is very sensitive and assist a good drive.it makes the handling comfortable.

ride quality is very good. its very comfortable for 5 people ttavelling at a time.

 

Final Words

 I have given a real and  my  real views only after driving more than 19000 kms in two years. I am proud of my Renault pulse Rxl  and definitely recommend to my friends.

Areas of improvement  

Interior designs must be improved.

different colours should be introduced as in nissan micra.

gear box could be more attractive and even more flexible.

I made a booking for Pulse Diesel car on 25/12/2012. In Dec 12 sales rep called me and said if I pay the full payment in the same month then I can escape from the price going to be hiked in Jan 13 and also he promised me to deliver the car immediately. Believing his words I made the payment :( :( 

I asked for the deliver by 14/1/13 they promised for that. I have taken off and went to my native (Pondicherry) from Bangalore. After reaching only I came to know that even show room is not opened itself and the vehicle is not allocated for me. Even before I leave from Bangalore I called to the sales rep he said they will be able to deliver the car by 17/1/12. It was a great disappointment to me and my family. I raised a complaint in customer care 179437777. They responded to my issue after 1 week.They promised to deliver the care by 10/2/2013. But till date no one has contacted me regarding the registration formalities.   Now the sales rep is asking me to pay the hike price also and not conforming on the offers what he promised to give earlier. I don't know whom should I contact to escalate this issue. The response from customer care is very poor.

 The engine is a gem.  So far it delivers 22.5kmpl for 510 kms of ride and 30kmpl during one 50km highway trip

Final Words

 I bought Pulse RXL last monday and so far completed 510 kms of joyful riding. I had TDs of Beat D, Micra D, Ritz D, Figo D, Liva D, Polo D, Vista MJD and felt Micra diesel is better for city driving with light steering, short turning radius, best mileage. But it was pricey at 7.10 lakhs and forced me to take a TD of Pulse which is an upgraded version of Micra with better looks and come at lesser price of Rs.6.76 lakhs OTR. So far, the ride is excellent for me and my wife too. AC is effective in Level 1 itself during the hot Chennai afternoons. Braking is good. Only thing missed is ABS. Anyway I am not a highway freak but pure city driven only with a sedate style of driving. No harsh acceleration and hard brakes either.

The important USP of the vehicle is MILEAGE for which I went for this vehicle. I did an occasional 50km highway trip in the Chennai Bye-pass with an outstanding mileage of 30kmpl as displayed in the instant mileage tripmeter throughout the trip.

So far, the mileage average of the 510 km travel is stood at an impressive 22.50kmpl which I cant believe for a new vehicle, eventhough I read about the mileage performances of Micra and Pulse in various forums. My fuel bill is now decreased to one third.

Soon I will confirm the mileage figure by the desi method of tankful-to-tankful.

I will recommend this vehicle to my friends and relatives surely.

Anyone interested to buy this vehicle, pls have a test drive first of all the vehicles in its class and ask the experiences of the owners of Micra and Pulse, to take a decision.

Final Words Overall, a fantatstic package. With addition of ABS this will be the best hatchback.

Areas of improvement It's a pleasure to ride.

Steering is so light and its very responsive. Boot space and leg rooms are too good. The ground clearance could have been better. The Mileage improves day by day it gives 18 under 1000 kms, will update as soon i cross 2000 kms . AC performance is another plus. One of the most underrated car in this segmant. Looks are better when compared to its sibbling Nissan Micra. A lot of plus for the Pulse!!! Just have Test drive before you look to buy any other hatchback.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Against the company's claim of 24KMs/ litre gives an averrage of 16.5 KMs.

Ride Quality & Handling Rear suspension seems to be weak. Produces knocking sound when someone sits on the back seat. Dust comes from the disc brake and I am told that this is common for these vehicles. Company does not provide a duplicate key for the remote security system which forms an integral part of the original car. This makes the security system useless in case of loss of the original remote control switch key. It took overr 4 months for the company to arrange for a duplicate remote control key. They charge an exhorbitant price of Rs.5114.75 for a duplicate key which should be provided free of cost alongwith the car. Even a registered notice does not evoke any response for one month. If we address a communication to the company, response comes from the dealer who has no voice with the company or is not ready to take up the customer's case with the company ultimately yielding no results to the complainant.

Final Words Poor response to customer complaints.

Areas of improvement Rear suspensions, and average fuel efficiency have to improve. Disc brakes producing dust have to be improved.  Prompt response should be given to customers.
