WORST CAR EVER MADE, AND HOPELESS AFTER SALE SERVICE. NO PROPER RESPONSE FROM RENAULT. LEAST BOTHERED ABOUT CUSTOMER AND CUSTOMER'S LIFE.
Renault Lodgy steering wheel got locked after 7 days from purchased date and no proper response from Renault India. Worst After sales support from Renault India.
NON RELIABLE CAR IN THE MARKET, after 7 days steering wheel gets locked then imagine how sub-standard is this vehicle. There no respect to Customer's life.
This is newly launched vehicle and the steering wheel locked after 7 days of purchase this is a high severity issue. My whole family got escaped from crashing. Even after explaining such a high severity issue to Renault there is no proper response. They don't respect customer's life, they are just money minded.
I bought Renault Lodgy RxL Diesel version 25 days ago. I was travelling with my whole family to Mysore and the Steering wheel got totally jammed. Luckily escaped from crashing another car at highway. I called up the customer care for Road side assistance and there was no proper response, hence I have to arrange transport for my family and reached home @12 midnight.My whole family's life was at risk.
I had taken it to Service centre @Mysore. The service center guys were very rude and denied to repair it as i bought in Bangalore. I have personally towed it to Bangalore service center. The service center guys told me there is a manufacturing defect. I requested them to give the Renault contact details to report this, as its high severity issue, but they did not give me any contact details. Even I have lodged complaint to customer care and sent a mail to them. Till now there is no proper response from Renault.
To fix the problem of the car they have taken more than 15days. Still now no proper response from Renault. The after sales is worst and did not expect this from such a renowned automobile company. I am not sure of the car stability and reliability.
1. Steering wheel locked after 7days of purchase.
2. No proper response from Renault.
3. No contact details of Renault in the website.
4. There is no respect for Customer's life.
5. After sales is worst.
Atlast, with lot of struggle I got the contact details of Area - After Sales manager. I spoke to him and explained the issue, but he is not at all serious about it. He just told that the spare parts are replaced and you take your car. I asked to assure that there will be no more problems with the car. He said that assurance cannot be given as such. The 7 days old car steering wheel gets locked and whats the guarantee that nothing will happen? He does not have answer for that.I said that I am not confident of driving the car, as I dont want to risk my and my family's life.As this car is very unstable anything can happen. He responded that ""WE DID NOT FORCE YOU TO BUY THIS CAR"". I never expected such a haphazard negligent answer. He does not even regretting for the inconvience caused, this was a very high severe issue and Renault is least bothered about it. I never expected such a hopeless After-sales service.

Exterior The front look is nice, it is like Innova, but the problem is with the rear. It looks bad. There is lot of chrome, which is good. Innova looks better overall, but this is also okay.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) There is lot of space inside. Third row is better than the Innova, very happy about that. Built quality could have been better, also the features list. No start stop button, steering wheel also feels okay. Music systme is nice.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The car is fast, the turbocharger makes it feel very nice. It can easily do 140kph and there is no noise in the cabin either. 110bhp is good amount of power, it feels better than my Innova. Company claims 19, so it will easily give 15kpl and that is also much better than the Innova.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride is the best, it feels stable and comfortable through the potholes. Don't have to worry about speed breakers. Handling is nice, it changes directions quick and is very easy to manage. It is very good, again better than the Innova.
Final Words Very good car and also cheap. It is better than the Innova in lot of areas. Bt its looks and interior quality are not very great.
Areas of improvement Interior quality and rear looks, if Renault improevs this - the car will become even better.

I was looking for a family car and my first choice was the innova owing to its track record and durability. When I test drove the innova, I was not very happy, not because of the way it was but because of a heavy steering. I felt like I was driving a heavy vehicle. Also it has been a long time that innova hasn’t been upgraded design wise. 5 gears were not satisfactory. I then came to know about lodgy online and I decided to take a test drive. I am 50 plus so driving and handling are much more important to me comparatively. My top priority goes to parking comfort, handling and suspension. When I test drove the lodgy I was very happy with how light its steering was, the pick was good and driver seat is really comfortable although there are not many adjustments. Space wise this car offers a lot more than one could expect. Just dissemble the rear seats and you could move whatever you want in it. Its interior are white and grey, not very attractive but not very boring either, they justify the costing and are decent. I loved the parking assistance and the nav system big a big touch screen, it is a blessing in new cities. Lodgy has a fresh look and looks better in color than in white. My dealership was also good and offered me a good buying experience.

Bought the renault lodgy after extensive market research on MPV, i checked out mobilio, innova and ertiga but i was not at all happy. In innova i was sad with only 5 gears and the old design feels like a taxi, mobilio looks good and everything but it does not feel good on the inside, seems like a tin trunk. eritga was good but i hated how the last row seats felt, they should have done a better job on that. the windows for the last row are too small as well and the leg and head room is not sufficient. The three reasons why i bough lodgy was that it looked fresh, it has a great pick and does not feel heavy at all, it offers so much space that i was able to have comfortable business trips in this car and my family also fit well in it. It has a very good performance on and off road also it will not be a huge disappointment since it has a pretty good ground clearance and suspension. Go for this car if you want to buy it for the space, looks and low maintenance. Parking cam is also very useful and the media nav is a life saver.

I had taken delivery of my Renault Lodgy RXZ 110 PS a month back in Bangalore. In no time I had noticed an intermittent bluetooth
connectivity issue (connectivity getting dropped frequently) especially with my iphone 6 & other mobile phones. I had immediately
brought this issue to the notice of the dealer(Trident Whitefiled Renault) and further investigations by the dealer proved that issue
was not specific to my vehicle, as same issue was found in all Renault Lodgy available with the dealer.
It's 3 weeks since I had reported the issue but Renault customer care is not ready to provide any update other than the standard
response " Concerned team is looking into the issue". I see it as a serious failure of Renault's quality management processes as they
should not have delivered a vehicle with quality issues. I am really disappointed with Renault's attitude even after reporting an
issue with a brand new car.
Appreciate if you can share an Renault's escalation contact with me to take this issue up with Renault's senior management.

Exterior I will give 5 points. Looking is perfect when many others observe it with their open eyes.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior best company can offer. Though music controls are not on steering but on seperate panel near steering. Other controls are there on steering. Seating arrangements are fine. I found middle seat uncomforatble while buying but now I dont have any issues. Its nice.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Performance was perfect with 7 person rides. Pick up (110ps) is perfect. Little concern with fuel economy hope it will imporve after first service. Gear box is very smooth.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is wonderful. I have drived innova and found this car much better than Innova. Its ride quality and using of gear is much better than innova. I have tried the car on A B road from Guna to Indore worst road at present but ride was not tiring at all.
Final Words Searching alternative of innova from last many months now I got with no comporise in any area specially in 7-8 seating arrangement.
Areas of improvement Hope service cost will not be on higher side.

Technical and mechanical problem in Car.
This is very disappointing that such a well-known company "Renault" has been so unprofessional and there is no customers satisfaction has been considered by the Company. I have purchased a new car (Renault Lodgy 85PS RXL) from a dealer in Kanpur. The said car has been deliver to me without any testing at all, upon receipt of car I have analyzed that back A/C of the car is not working and accordingly I am making round and round of dealer’s showroom as well as service center.
In the month of starting of November 2016 suddenly a problem of non-starting (First time) of car engine has been happened, we have made a complain to the service center and they have given my car for servicing and understanding the problem. In this at that point of time it was informed that certain problem has been happened in Fuel injector and the same has been resolved. Again the same problem has been repeated after three day and car was off and not started at all.
In the month of end of November and staring of December (Second time), again we have send our car to service station at this time I have been informed your car has been kept on diagnose to understanding the problem, after five days we have received back my car informing that all the problems has been properly shorted this would not repeat again.
After four five days again the same problem repeated (Third time) and car has been taken back by service center informing us that they have to change certain parts in the car other wise it would not work properly. The car was kept approx. 10 to 15 day in service center and after few day they called me and inform that all the problem in car has been resolved what ever parts needs to be change has been changed properly and sorry for the inconvenience this would not be happen in near future.
After that have gone for a long vacation and there is no use of my car it was stand at my house. When I again started using my car in Jan Mid this year same problem was again repeated (Fourth time). When we tried to discuss with service center the same words has been repeated “we have kept your car on diagnose and update you” . Today I have discuss with you same problem you your service manager in Kanpur and there is no proper response has been received.
Once again the same problem was repeated (Fifth time). When we tried to discuss with service center the same words has been repeated “we have kept your car on diagnose and update you” . Even last time you have given me a assurance that this problem would not be repeated future.Today I have discuss with you same problem you your service manager in Kanpur and there is no proper response has been received.
I Would like to inform you that each time I have discussed this issue with customer care executive as well as in service center (current complain number is “Service Complaint-4-03019192-RENAULT KANPUR [ ref:_00Db0cZvn._500b0zSze0:ref ]”.
I am not going to take back this car from the service center and would take replacement of my car from Renault. In this regards i have made a complain in Consumer forum and the complain number is 171599.

I was really looking to buy a budget MPV but after I drove lodgy I decided to push a little harder and increase my budget. the engine, driving, interiors and everything on offer is so lucrative that you just cannot forget the car. I wanted to buy a car that was good looking but at the same time did not compromise on important things like fuel economy and space, space was extra important for me since I was buying it as a family car. lodgy is an ideal family car that looks good and is a sensible buy for those who have a decent commute to put up with. I drive for over 50 km per day so I needed a diesel car with a good fuel economy. I couldn’t at the same time compromise on drive quality which was quite disappointing in the i20 as well as in the ertiga. I bought it two weeks ago and ever since my day is just not as tiresome as it was before, thanks to the driving comfort that lodgy has offered me.
