I kindly inform you that I have purchase Renault Duster on 13 Feb 2013.from your dealer at Thane.

Till today I have drive it about 14950 km.but since 8500 km I facing the problem regarding gear box.I have solve it from your service center but this problem is occurred again and again .Since I purchase it only because of your reputation and service;but I am not satisfied with your service.

Last time when this problem occurred I was at that section and opposite site there was very big valley where my and my families life was in danger. As per this situation your I think that your service center is not considering our life and my family is not secured while travelling your vehicle, so I think that your company will  also responsible for the accident occurred to my vehicle and my as well my families life.

For this problem I have complaint it to your service center for 5 times and again today on 28th July sending vehicle to your service center at Nashik for 6 th time regarding gear box problem only because of request of service center and no satisfactory solution is occurred end for the same problem.Your service center and dealer are not entertaining us and not solving our vehicle problem.

All because of this, me as well my whole family is desturbed end and this is only because of your company so request you to you that I don't want to compromise with my families life so want total cash Back of my renault duster so that I purchase it another SAFE vehicle.

So please reply me immediately for my further legal action.

Exterior I feel this is the best looking mini SUV in terms of Price, Its like a mini Fortuner. The SUV creates its own Macho Look when its on road. The Chrome Grills and the hunky body will make you look at the car, even if you have the least interst in automobiles. The Double Barrel headlights suit the car. The roof rails etc add to the style. The could have made the boot door open sidewards rather than upwards. The could also keep the stepny on the door. It would have increeased the style of the SUV threefolds and would make it look like a real SUV rather than a crossover. In looks i will give 910/10 for the SUV. Yes i do agree its ones personal choice, but i bet no one will say that it is a bad looking SUV.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors of the SUV are fairly built. The space, comfort and cooling of the a/c without the rear vent is awesome. The mirror controls are placed below the  hand break which is little difficult to access. The SUV should have been provided with a cruise control, climatic control a/c and foldable mirrors with indicators which looks trendy and which comes as a standard fitting even in low end cars. In terms od interiors i will give 7/10 for the SUV.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine performace is good. Infact 85 ps is best suited for city drives. It is also adequately powered for high ways, especially in india where speed restrictions are there. I have cloaked upto 120kms on my duster. The 5 speed gear box is good, even though not as smooth as in the sedans. But SUV's should have something tough. The fuel economy what i am getting for my vehicle is around 19.89 in high ways and around 18.20 in city with all time a/c on. For the engine performance, fuel economy and gear box i would give the SUV 10/10.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is excellent. We can maneuver the car even in high speeds. There is seriously no body roll which normally is experienced in Mahindra Vehicles. The drive is just like riding a Sedan. The high ground clearance doesnt make us feel odd when run over pot holes or bumbers etc. I would rate 10/10 for ride quality and handling for this suv.

Final Words Overall the 85ps RXL is a a value for money. The rear defogger, rear wipers, fog lamps, back arm rest, the music system all makes it worth the 1lakh what you pay extra. I would recommend the SUV for anyone who is looking for a car/sedan/hatchback/suv's in the price range of 5 lakhs.-15 lakhs. The SUV is not as big as the innova or the scorpio, but it makes a road presence, It gives you better comfort than a etios or a dezire ot hatch backs like polo or i20. Lastly it is totally a different segment-a mini SUV or a crossover between a car and suv. Overall i will give 9/10 for the suv.

Areas of improvement The company should put in cruise control, climatic control a/c, foldable mirrors for the SUV, The boot door of the SUV should be opened sidewards rather than upwards with the stepney blaced on the boot door. The mirror adjustment switch should be placed on the door rather than under the hand break. But as a whole it is the best mini suv at present in the Indian market. The company should open up service centers to support the after sales service with the spare parts price ecconomical so that the buyers of this SUV dont feel disappointed ever when they are motoring with DUSTER.

Exterior Looks, Mileage, Handling, Comfort, SpaceCar Door opening upwards, Cruise Controls, Foldable mirrors

Good car with great mileage Nd comfort you can go for it Nd engine is very good I drive 80k+ km now and there is no work done in this engine even when the car is new then it is used very badly by new drivers (my friend's Nd relatives) but there is no problems till now after 5 years of purchasing.

Interior should be improved otherwise it's a good car.i ride it from 2014 and now I have crossed 80k km so it's my true opinion. And I suggest everyone go with this beast if you want comfortable ride handling and a good mileage to... The demerit is only one the resale value otherwise it's the best one.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent comfort,spacious,well featured,airy interior,good head and legroom.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very very refined engine,gear is very soft,easy for city drive,excellent road grip,according to dealer fuel economy is 15-16 in city and 21 in highway.powerful AC.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality,you will not feel 85 PS engine is underpowered or something.pick up is as good as 100 or 110 PS engine of other company like tata or mahindra.adequate for city ride or occasional highway ride.frequent highway rider go for 110 PS.

Final Words Much better than maruti ertiga.people having a budget of 10 Lakh and want a good mileage suv. This is the best option.but those having a budget of 12 to 13 Lakh go for XUV 500.

Areas of improvement COMPANY SHOLD MAKE IT MORE VALUE FOR MONEY.IN 10 LAKH BUDGET YOU ARE NOT GETTING.  ABS,AIRBAG,ALLOY WHEELS and REVERSE PARKING SENSOR.but it is a excellent car.renault done another good job.

Looks,interior,ride quality,spaceNot value for money

Exterior are very impressive. But from distance the size is not noticable. From closer view it looks bigger. The height of the Duster is almost like any other small car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) All in RLX models are good, but RLX Opt. might be good. But, switching on and off airbag might be tiring. Boot space is good but not usable always. No 3rd raw seats. Doorwindows swithes are not suitably placed.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine in 85 BHP is not good for city drive. Only after 60 kmph it will be smooth. Constant changing gear are must. Always start with 1st gear once not in motion. Reaching 5th gear is a dream. Notching gear shift needs extra effort especially in 2nd. rest o.k. Fuel so far reached 15.6 kml. in city @ 500 km, Paint work is also very good. Some shiny finishes are also good.

Ride Quality & Handling Comfortble in driving on highways. But in city painful. Manages bumps verywell. Tyre grinding noise in not there. Door closing noise is loud. No outer door rims so collect dust in the door thickness compartment a big disadvantage in Indian road condition. Regular need to claen along with body. Fibaling horns.

Final Words It value for money if you consider amount which company getting apart from Govt. taxes.

Areas of improvement Door rims, second gear shifting/ratio, horn sound, Angle of headlights with highbeams. Engine perfomanance.

Exteriors, style, tyre size, look, ridingPoor power, notching gears, swept signal/wiper, lower angled headlights, poor breaks, no door rims.

Exterior: This where all the people likes this vehicle.  Most of the colors are very good..I did not like Blue.  

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Easy Driving, especially very good for women drivers. We dont feel like we are driving big vehicle.  Driving wise, I can give 4.5/5 rating.  It has good space , which is suffiecient. Four average size people can sit and three people can sit comfort. My ratings for this 4.5/5. Feature wise, they should have added few more since this comes in SUV model. Few features are added in high end model.  We can add the feature if required. My ratings on this: 4/5. 

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: This is the first time I am driving Diesel vehicle.  I did not find much difference with Petrol car. Maintenance also does not cost us much, approx 3-4k per visit. Maruti is the only vehicle the maintenance is less. My diesel vehicle mileage : Local 14-16 KM per Liter with AC.  if you drive in high traffic , it gives you 14 KMPL.  on Avg 15 KMPL.

On high ways, I get beteen 18-21KMPL.  Avg: 19-20 KMPL

 

Ride Quality & Handling: We can drive easily on rough roads and the base height is good enough. 

 

Final Words: I can suggest this vehicle to others. 

Other vehicles, I can comment: ( budget less than 12L)

1.  Ford Ecosport: Looks good, but not rough. Duster has manly looks. Some people says, clutch is tight. I am not sure about the Ford support. I am not confident about that. Parts might be costly. Good internal features.  My overall rating here: 4/5

2. Maruti Ertiga: Driving wise OK, not so easy for women. Maintenance is cheap. Mileage is good enough. Note that this does not come under SUV.  No boot space. Over all rating: 3.5/5

3. Wagnor: I like this for easy driving and low maintenance. My rating: 3.5

4. Santro: Easy driving and little high maintenance compared to Maruti. Hyundai has better AC than Maruti.

This car is amazing in drives and control, its handling is much easier and convenient no car still date I have driven has given me. Great enjoyable, memorable drives everytime I have driven with it.

Perfect luxury for middle class family. Best SUV for some one who dream of owning SUV but cannot afford to buy. Low maintenance costs. High presence, best mileage in the category. Cons: no resale value
