Motorsports is not just a glorified way of displaying speed and finesse or showing who’s got the biggest, umm, skill; it’s also a testament of absolutely relying on the instincts and, more importantly, on the race machine. And when the latter gives way, things begin to look scary, as witnessed by this Porsche driver who just about managed to get himself about of trouble.

Driving his Porsche 996 GT3 around the Circuit of the Americas, racer Luke Oxner approached a slow corner and stomped on the brakes only to realise that there has been a complete brake failure. Have a look at the video below and watch how quick reflexes save him from a nasty crash.
