Rickey Gadson, needs no introduction when it comes to quarter mile drag racing. 11 times drag racing champion, has his fan following in India as well thanks to events like 'The Valley Run'. He is known for motorcycle drag racing and his ability to cross the quarter mile (402 metres) within minimum time. He still holds the record for the quickest quarter mile drag at 9.64 seconds. He visited India twice for the Valley Run – a drag racing event and both the times, the event attendees (including me) were awed by his drag runs.
Rickey was able to achieve this feat because the machine in question was the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R – the world’s fastest production motorcycle. However, he has changed his machine to a new four-cylinder motorcycle, which is supercharged. The bike in question is the Ninja H2.
Over the last few days, Rickey has been teasing pictures of his new drag machine, but yesterday, he posted a video of the H2 being tested on the drag strip, making it the first drag spec Ninja H2. While the bike is yet to be fully-revealed to the world, we hope Rickey gets this bike to India when he visits the country for the Valley Run 2015.
