Porsche’s impeccable quality control it seems is not as faultless as premium car buyers would like to imagine as news has just begun to spread that a brand new 911 GT3 has been reportedly delivered without the PDK Sport button on the centre console.
According to a member of the rennlist.com forum, he has ended up with a 2015 911 GT3 without the PDK Sport button on the vehicle’s centre console. The unfortunate guy brought home his new sports car from the dealership, only to notice that the PDK Sport button is missing.
Now, a missing button on the centre console may not come off as a shocker if it’s a mundane hatchback, but for a high quality sports car, it is alarming indeed. In the latest generation 911 GT3, what the PDK Sport button does is quicken up the gear changes at higher engine rpm.
For reference, posted below is a picture of the actual centre console of a 911 GT3 with the quick shifting PDK gearbox.
