Most tourists know India for two things, and we aren’t talking about snakes and elephants. When it comes to travelling, they remember connecting with the Almighty, on a spiritual trip OR the polar opposite - a party to remember: Goa! We are not sure if the US President, Barack Obama, did make the most of his trip to India! So what if the US President were to visit India once again, and this time for India Bike Week 2015 (February 20-21)? Here’s a quick guess on what he might be interested in!
1. THE HOG RALLY
A lot of what we do is said to be Americanised. Can we Americanise the parade once again? What better way than showing the President of USA something to write home about and maybe include in his Twitter feed! At the Republic Day parade he was treated to various marching contingents and floats; the scene at IBW will certainly make him a prouder American while here in India. We hope this leads to more awesome machines! Mustang, Corvettes anyone?
2. STUNT SHOWS
The US President found the BSF Daredevilry mesmerising and the Air Show spectacular, we are sure the stunt shows at IBW will leave him awestruck as well. IBW has a pretty cool ‘air show’ and it involves bikes. The fuel here is the adoring crowds. Here the professionals don’t limit themselves to headstands alone but one can see burnouts, wheelies, donuts, backflips, stoppies…oh! the list just goes on.
3. BIKER BUILD OFF
At the Republic Day parade, Obama got a glimpse of our country’s art, and engineering. At IBW he will get to see art and engineering come together in building some mad machines! At this moment, we would like to invite our Honorary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to drive home the point of “Make in India”.
4. AMAZING MUSIC
US President Barack Obama has a penchant for music! May we introduce a fleet of artists that can literally mellow down his busy day! You will find Babyheadbristol, a favourite on the UK festival circuit with their love for Jamaican sound clash, Blackstratblues, Clayton Hogermeer, Curtain Blue, Siddharth Basrur and more.
5. GOA
With all the political drama and protocol to be observed, we are sure both the US President and the First Lady will be begging to have some time to check out the scene. We’d suggest POTUS and FLOTUS head to Vagator, Goa for the IBW and spend some time soaking in the sun. Get a tattoo or two, and so much more! And while we know the secret services won’t allow you to ride a motorcycle, we sincerely hope Goa allows them to unwind too!
