Ferrari recently organised a rather special track day for a bunch of automotive journalists from across the globe. Held at the Italian supercar maker’s very own Fiorano test track, the media personnel were let loose on the wet track with a 740hp F12 Berlinetta.
While the journalists ended up fiddling with the F12’s various driver aids to gauge the car’s performance in a variety of grip levels, all the various dynamic settings were turned off when Finnish racing driver Kimi Raikkonen got behind the wheel for a few hot laps around Fiorano.
Having tamed 800-plus hp Formula 1 machines and top-level rally cars, it might be a little underwhelming for the Iceman - as he’s fondly called by many – but the way he drives and powerslides the V12 engined supercar in such tricky conditions is a sight to behold.
Needless to say, it’s an unforgettable experience for the passengers on board, as can be seen in the video released by Ferrari. Do have a look!
