German rally legend and Porsche development driver Walter Rohrl is 68, but he spends a fair bit of his time setting quick lap times round the Nurburgring Nordschleife. And besides driving the wheel nuts off fast cars over some of the toughest race tracks in the world, Rohrl also famously appears on several German car channels on YouTube.
In one such video, the 68 year old is seen taming Porsche’s flagship road car – the 918 Spyder on the Sachsenring race track in Germany but unlike anything else in the past, the Porsche gets the better of him, eventually sending him into a crash barrier.
It just goes on to show that even the best of us aren’t always immune to the perils of speed.
