Most people have wacky ideas but only few of them have the talent to implement things to create crazy stuff. You recently saw a flipped-over vehicle that can be driven upside down. Now check out this vehicle that can be driven but also be a proper racer.
The flipped over Camaro you see in the pictures is just the outer body shell of a 1999 Chevy Camaro and underneath lies the 1990 Ford Festiva. The 1.3-litre mill of the Festiva might not really be of the racing pedigree but this vehicle participated in the 24 Hours of LeMons race and ranked 98 out of the 139 cars that enrolled. It overtook 40 proper race cars while garnering surprised looks to broad grins. Starting from a gleeful chuckle, spectators clutched their bellies when the car even overtook a Rolls Royce on the track.
Check out the following videos that show the car's run on the track and also the making of the upside down car.
