From hosting a show that attracted 150 million viewers worldwide to being unemployed for weeks and now back in the game – this is the story of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
The trio have sealed a deal with Amazon Prime to host a new motoring show, which, reportedly, will be aired in 2016 on Amazon’s streaming video service. This new unnamed program will be produced by former Top Gear executive Andy Wilman, an old school friend of Clarkson’s who is credited with revamping the format and turning it into the world’s most successful factual TV show.
A BBC director had refused to renew Clarkson’s contract after he had a fracas with the show’s producer,OisinTymon and since then the future of Clarkson has been quite uncertain and that is despite spending around 27 years with the organisation. His two colleagues, who are also his close friends, followed him by quitting their position in the company.
This new show is yet to be named but it is already creating a lot of curiosity. The shoot for this show will start soon and we would love to see some leaked footages. Meanwhile, check out the tweets by the trio on their announcement.
