Good news! Top Gear has confirmed that Chris Evans will succeed Jeremy Clarkson and that the second presenter will be a lady (Jodie Kidd, we suspect). They are now on the lookout for a third presenter and plan to recruit him/her from the worldwide TG army.
Yes that’s right; the show is now giving its many (many) fans a chance to be one of its faces. Chris Evans, via his Twitter page, has announced that they will be recruiting for the role and that the only requirement is that you be a total car nut and over 16 years of age. This process is not limited to the UK and anyone from across the globe can apply.
He has not yet provided the full terms and conditions of the job nor has he given an address for where the 30 second home made video can be sent as yet. However, we do know that he will be conducting a live audition for the selected few among the many applicants and in the most obvious sense include a road test also.
While we do lament over the closure of the previous format of the show that made it a worldwide hit, we are excited for what lays ahead with the franchise and rest assured will keep you updated on the latest developments.
We also find this the right time to visit an older story in which we said that Sachin Tendulkar was slated to replace Clarkson on Top Gear.
