The E63 generation BMW M6 is bit of a marmite’s car. You either love it for its gem of an engine i.e. the S85 5-litre V10, or hate it for its controversial design penned by Chris Bangle. However, you will have a hard time not paying attention to this particular 2009 model.
The Alpine White M6 you see here is fitted with a manual gearbox and is one of the 701 units to still exist.
The six-speed manual box complements the V10 rather well and doesn’t take away any of its high-revving nature. However, the car’s rare status means it’s never going to be cheap. The good old manual, undoubtedly, commands a higher value than an equivalent example with the seven-speed, single-clutch SMG automatic gearbox which also happens to be quicker in a straight line. But that’s a small price to pay for the joy of using a stick shift, isn’t it?
