Footballers and fast cars don’t quite go hand in hand, as we have seen in the past. Take Cristiano Ronaldo’s Ferrari 599 wreck for instance, or the recent crash involving a 15-year old Russian footballer and a shiny new Aston Martin DB9. And more often than not it’s the vehicle that has to bear the brunt of an adrenaline-fuelled athlete’s desire for speed, as seen in this recent video from Russia.
Seen here is a 31 year old Russian footballer Andrey Yeshchenko, who somehow manages to walk away unscathed from this 170kmph crash involving a Nissan GT-R.
The traffic cams surveilling the area manage to capture the GT-R smashing straight into a cement pole and disintegrate into a pile of wreck. To his luck, the soccer player gets away without any injuries although the same cannot be said for the poor old Nissan.
