Over the years, Australian daredevil Robbie Madison has earned the reputation of doing a bangup job of risky stunts that normal people would be incapable of dreaming up, let alone trying them out. His latest stunt video called 'Pipe Dream' has just set a new benchmark by taking his insanity (and courage) to the next level.
The video, which has already received over 10 million hits in less than three days, shows Robbie bounce across the surface of massive Teahupoo waves in the French Polynesia on his KTM 250SX dirt bike. The fearsome Teahupoo is one of the most intense waves in the world, notorious for being too dangerous for surfing, leave alone riding a motorcycle on. The video starts off by showing the multiple world record holder blasting through a rain forest before swapping the solid ground for a water body, and then move on to tackle the notorious waves of Tahiti.
This stunt took more than two years of planning, with slight modifications to his dirt bike including custom skis on the front wheels and propeller tyre at the rear. For safety reasons, the bike had also been retrofitted with deployable airbags to keep the bike from sinking in case of some mishap. Check out the video below.
