It's with a heavy heart we share this news. What you are about to see is not just any other car go up in flames. It is, in fact, the Lamborghini Miura SV, the very essence of the term ‘mid-engined supercar’.
The video, taken in West London, shows the rare 1971 Miura SV burning to the ground. By the time the emergency services arrived at the scene to put the fire out, the supercar was engulfed in flames beyond repair.
While the exact details on the unfortunate incident are yet to be ascertained, the billionaire owner of the Lamborghini is suing the garage that serviced his car which is worth a million pounds. According to Jon Hunt, a property tycoon as well as a classic car enthusiast, the garage fitted the wrong type of spark plugs, leading to the untimely demise of the supercar.
Mr Hunt is now suing Lamborghini London, claiming £700,000 (Rs 6.8 crore) compensation for the wrecked vehicle. Additionally, he is also deeming damages for storage and "loss of enjoyment" of the car.
