Tesla’s Model S is no less than a YouTube sensation. Anyone familiar with the luxuriously appointed electric sedan will have seen it annihilating many a Ferraris and BMWs on the video sharing website. This recent video by Motor Trend, though, is quite a watch as it shows a head-to-head comparison between a super quick electric vehicle (the Model S) and a good old V8-powered sedan i.e. the Dodge Charger Hellcat SRT.
Now both these vehicles make over 700bhp each and proudly hold the title of the most powerful sedans in the world. While the Model S P85D makes up for its dreary name with what Tesla calls “Insane Mode” which turns up the power to hit 100kmph from standstill in 3.2 seconds, the good old Charger SRT makes 707bhp from its 6.2-litre supercharged V8.
It’s a close battle for the supremacy over the ultimate form of propulsion. Who wins? Watch the video below to find out.
