Superheroes don’t need vehicles, they have super powers, they can fly. Enter Superman, he can launch himself into the hemisphere accelerating without an engine. While, Superman makes mockery of Newton’s law of Physics, Batman doesn’t. He’s cool and he uses the Batmobile, to zip around the streets of Gotham to catch criminals. Well, why are we talking about all this? This is not a website which reviews movies, but only cars. Yes, we are coming to that...It is because Batman has earned himself a new ride.
Christopher Nolan’s Tumbler from the Dark Knight series will make way for a new model altogether. The new unnamed movie which is all set to feature Batman and Superman directed by Zack Sydner will give us a new and updated Batmobile.
The teaser images reveal that Batman’s new ride has changed a lot. The hood is a mile-long, the cockpit looks open and the tyres look like a meaty extra large burger. Well, how much of a change the new Batmobile will be seen when it is unveiled today.
All fans expect is to watch some fireworks literally, I mean they pay to watch the Batmobile firing bullets, throwing flame and dodging rockets fired at it without ruffling the occupants, err… Batman.
The last Batmobile, the Tumbler had 500 horses to propel its 2.5 tonne mass to 100kmph in 5.6 seconds from standstill. A tad too less you feel? A thug in a superbike can beat him you say? No. It has a jet engine on the back of the vehicle for quick boosts. If the dark forces still manage to sneak through, the rocket launcher that can turn the tarmac into rubble or missile launchers and the artillery cannon will save the day.
Well, so what will the new Batmobile get additionally, we are sure it will get all the arms and ammunition and supposedly more power? The first non-animated series Batmobile used in the movies Batman and Batman Returns had a 531kmph top-speed with booster, a lot faster than the Tumbler. So, will the new Batmobile be only a faster version or will Ben Affleck, all set to wear the suit, get more gizmos to play with? We will get our answers soon.
We will be back once we get more details on the new Batmobile.
