Depreciation is among the many reasons why one would shy away from buying something like an Aston Martin or a Lamborghini, which after a few years of hard thrashing will have lost an absurd amount of its original value. However, it seems there is now a vehicle that will probably never depreciate.
As per Magnitude Finance, a UK-based vehicle specialist, McLaren’s hybrid supercar – the P1 is expected to be the first vehicle whose value will never go down below its list price. With just 375 examples made and sold worldwide already, the P1 is one of the most sought-after supercars, alongside the other two hybrid supercars – the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Depreciation is something that comes in the mind of even the finest of car collectors. After all, no one wants to get hold of a vehicle that costs nearly a crore of rupees just to watch it be worth less than half of that in a few years’ time. So while the fact remains that most supercars depreciate as fast they accelerate, there are some cars, like the P1, that could be appreciating assests.
