Do you remember the test drive that you took for your first car? I am sure, you were asked to drive only for a few metres and not even a kilometre, before you entered the showroom again. Majority of the car dealers in India (especially budget cars) try to just sell you the car without a test drive, but in places like Canada, the companies are ready to change an entire street to make you experience the car.
Jeep pulled off a great marketing stunt in Vancouver where they converted an entire street into a forest. In a matter of few hours, the street that was a concrete jungle, changed into a forest trail. And honestly, when you look at the pictures and the video, it makes you feel that you are actually exploring a forest in the Jeep. The American manufacturer got tonnes of rocks, sands, trees, moss and even two wolves to make this happen.
This is what Oliver Francois, the brain behind this idea has to say, “We wanted to bring to life the real world capabilities of the Jeep Cherokee in a unique approach. So how do you do that? By taking what is essentially an experiential event where unsuspecting drivers are being filmed navigating a busy metropolitan street that has been turned into a fully functional mountain river and let them experience the capabilities of the Jeep Cherokee for themselves.”
