You always use your car for shopping from a supermarket, taking kids to school and sometimes also giving your friends a lift. You make sure to use the car anytime you can, most the car owners do. But what if I tell you, that your car can be construed as a perfect scratching post for animals? Well, trying to figure out what I am talking about?
Two occupants had a near death experience when they visited a South African National park with their Volkswagen Polo. While they were enjoying the park, an elephant used the hatchback as a scratching post. The elephant was in its musth period where it becomes aggressive due to the excess level of testosterone. The occupants had a hard time as it would have been worse if the elephant had become more aggressive. Both occupants are safe, however, they have to foot the bills for four flat tyres, a broken chassis, damaged roof and smashed windows.
