The compact sedan segment in India is well blessed with four cars. We noted down the number of units of cars sold in the Indian market for October to get this result.
Number 4
Honda Amaze
Honda introduced the Amaze in April 2013 and has already crossed the one lakh units sold milestone. However, the company managed to sell only 3,482 units of the Amaze in October, showing a drastic drop in numbers.
Number 3
Tata Zest
Tata Zest, the recently launched compact sedan, which was expected to revamp the brand image of the company, has been fairly successful in doing the same. The sedan overtook the sales of the Amaze by 42 units and put it in number three position with 3,524 units sold in October.
Number 2
Hyundai Xcent
Outstanding for the quality and quantity of features it has to offer, the Hyundai Xcent stands at number two with 4,629 units sold in October. The sedan has become a favourite amongst many Indians and still continues to sell in good numbers.
Number 1
Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire
Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire still outsells its competitors and again has emerged to be the number one in sales for October. The car is way ahead of others as 17,950 units of the vehicle were sold keeping the competition far behind showing its robust dominance in the Indian market.
