MotoGP – one of the best sporting events on this planet has its own set of pros and cons. The popularity of this sport has made many manufacturers invest millions of dollars into it. For most, MotoGP gives them a platform to showcase their latest technology to the world and use some of the same technology to develop road legal bikes .
The MotoGP teams work secretly when it comes to developing their new bikes. It’s the same secretive nature of work that sets them apart from the rest when the bikes are raced for the first time. None of them like to show their ongoing work to the world, either on television or any social media channels. Maximum we get hold off are teasers, which hardly reveals anything. However, Suzuki went a step further and created a documentary that showcases their latest MotoGP bike, the GSX-RR.
The below video shows the different processes (not all of them) Suzuki uses to develop a MotoGP bike. It’s quite interesting to see the GSX-RR undergoing wind tunnel and aerodynamic testing. The best scene for me from this documentary is when the engineers take feedback from their test riders Espargaro and Vinales. Watch the video to see what I am talking about.
