In a list of most enviable jobs around the world, chocolate taster and wine sampler more often than not find top spots but what about a career in ballistics? I am sure this one would not even make it to the list. But Trent Kimball, CEO of Texas Armoring Corporation takes his job seriously...a bit too seriously. You will agree after watching this insane video.
Fame often has a price to pay and celebrities will vouch for that. Due to the constant threat on their lives some famous politicians and celebrities have taken refuge under armour-protected cars to take them on their daily tours. Safe from the meandering bullet and guarded behind walls of armour, the owners have one company to thank for - Texas Armoring Corporation.
To show that they do take their jobs seriously the company has released a video, in true Men In Black fashion, showing a Mercedes-Benz SUV's windshield being demolished to splinters by continuous firing from an AK-47. Not a big deal, you might say. But what if I were to tell you that Trent Kimball, CEO of Texas Armoring Corporation was sitting behind the wheel at this time while the video was being shot. Shocking!
Mr Kimball, a former 'special agent' who worked for the US in Latin America in the 1970s, doesn't even flinch as the shots are being fired. The muted thuds from inside the cabin sound quite reassuring. No surprises there. The windshield is made of two-inch thick bullet-proof glass. Cars outfitted by Texas Armoring also get run flat tyres and layers of ballistic resistant armouring throughout the body. What a way to showcase one's products!
Seriously! Mr Kimball just makes it seem it's all in a day's work. But, this is one of those times you would not be like to be behind the steering wheel of a Mercedes-Benz SUV. CEO or not.
