Most of us know the money and the time spent on developing a Formula 1 car is incredibly high. A formula one car is a result of years of research and development, hours spent inside the design room and testing around a race track for some hundred laps.
Few of us might have even dreamt of driving it, leave the thought of owning one. Interestingly, Mark Webber’s Red Bull Racing RB3 from the 2007 championship has been bought by someone for £250,000 (Rs 2.4 crore). Even if you add the 170 per cent duty for this Formula 1 car, it will still be cheaper than the Lamborghini Aventador that is sold in India. Shocked? And this price includes the powerful V8 engine and spares that will help you keep the car in running condition (not that you will drive this like a regular car).
Tempted right? Plus it is exclusive. It is believed to be the only race-driven Red Bull F1 car in private ownership. It also makes you question where the car goes after it is done racing. From what I know, it either make its way to the manufacturer’s museum or travels around the world for marketing activities for the company .
So how many of you are eagerly waiting for Sebastian Vettel’s Formula 1 car to retire?
