It goes without saying that a new Guinness World Record involves a lot of hoopla, but what you are about to see here is probably the quietest record attempt that involves cars.
Recently, the venue for the Berlin ePrix was filled with 577 electric vehicles plying on the circuit in front of a huge crowd. Minutes ahead of the race cars raring to go all out on the track, the organisers made a record attempt of running all of 577 vehicles in a convoy for a full lap of the 3.4kilometre circuit.
The zero emissions convoy majorly included the usual suspects in the form of the Tesla Model S, Nissan Leaf and the BMW i3. Beating the previous record, set in the US, by a considerable margin of 70 vehicles, the attempt has certainly raised the bar and if you ask us, it’s not a bad way to promote electric mobility either.
