Only two types of people would love this article. People who are crazy about supercars and people who have deep pockets to buy these supercars. From the beginning , Volkswagen was clear about keeping the Bugatti Veyron as exclusive as possible and that’s why only 450 units would ever be sold.
Now the Bugatti chief has revealed that 442 units of the hyper car have been sold since it was launched in 2005. Only eight exclusive units are available and could make its way anywhere the owner wants after he empties his bank account through a whopping $3 million cheque. But doesn’t it make sense to wait for a few more months and buy the successor (which obviously will be expensive than the current model) instead of going for the remaining stock.
As per a report, from all the 450 units, 300 were coupes and 150 units were roadsters. The roadster model has only sold 142 units so far, so that means all the eight remaining units are Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse and its other variants.
But did you know Bugatti came to India with the Veyron to sell few units but returned without selling any? India’s super rich have lots of money to spend on super cars but they felt it wasn’t really worth spending money on this hyper car because in case of an accident, the car has be flown back to its factory for repairs and yes, the owner has to pay for the logistics.
PS: I wonder what other cars might be sharing space with the 442 Bugattis . I am sure some of them have Paganis sitting in their garages.
