Hyundai Grand i10
Currently in India there seems to be no better hatchback than the Grand i10. This is the first entry-level diesel hatchback and has been fitted with many first in segment features like rear AC vents, internal hard drive, steering mounted audio controls, tilt-steering, driver seat height-adjustment and much more (depending which variant you opt for).

Honda Amaze
Since its launch in April 2013, Honda has already sold 50,000 Amaze and many are on waiting list. This diesel powered car has a powerful 1.5-litre engine that produces 98bhp@3600rpm and 200Nm@1750rpm. The fuel efficiency is rated at 25.8kmpl (ARAI, diesel variant) one of the highest in the country.
