Hyundai will be launching the Creta tomorrow but for those following this car closely we have some details that will prepare you for what to expect from the car. The Creta is certainly loving the spotlight and has over 10,000 interested buyers even before its launch. Here are some features that make this vehicle special:

1. DIESEL AUTOMATIC: 

The crossover compact SUV segment gets its first diesel automatic car with the Hyundai Creta. The diesel mills of the Creta get the option of a six-speed automatic gearbox from the Elantra. While it may have the utility of the AWD of the Duster, it will still be one of the most convenient cars to drive. 

2. MOST POWERFUL DIESEL ENGINE IN THE SEGMENT: 

The Creta carries over the Verna’s tried and tested powertrain line-up, which comprises a 1.6-litre Gamma Dual VTVT petrol and two diesel oil burners - the U2 1.4-litre CRDI and the U2 1.6-litre VGT CRDI. The petrol engine is available only with a six-speed manual unit, and the diesel mills get the option of either a six speed manual or a six speed automatic gearbox, of which the latter is borrowed from the Elantra. The 1.4-litre diesel can churn out 88.8bhp of power and 220Nm of torque, the 1.6-litre petrol is tuned to make 121.3bhp of power and 154Nm. The 1.6litre is the most powerful in the segment as it has the capacity to generate 126.3bhp of power and 260Nm of torque.

3. PROJECTOR HEADLAMPS:

This feature is common in the C-segment sedans and even some hatchbacks nowadays boast of it. Well, with the Hyundai Creta, the crossover compact SUV segment gets it as a proper feature in the top-end version. Even the competition like the Renault Duster does not get it as an option.

4. OFFERS 6 AIRBAGS:

The Creta will certainly gain an edge over the competition by concentrating on the safety front. While car manufacturers are contemplating and sometimes even hesitate from offering more than two airbags in the various segments in the Indian market. Hyundai has made a bold statement by offering the top-end version with not two but six airbags!
