While the fireworks at the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia became a global center of attraction at midnight, in the Exhibition Park in Canberra there was another fabulous display waiting to happen. On New Year’s Day, a Guinness World Record was set and it went up in smoke.
Before you get confused, no it was not a failure. The record that was set was for the biggest burnout ever. The Exhibition Park in Canberra hosts the Summernats Car Festival and this year they made sure that their machines took a world record for the most amount of burnouts in one place.
103 cars took part in this smokin’ exercise and the video below gives a you a detailed account of what it looked like.
