If you have ever tried to manoeuvre a vehicle in sand, you will know how difficult it is to get across such terrain. There are special off-road motor vehicles designed and specifically built to take these sandy regions. These lightweight vehicles are called sand rails, also often referred to as a Dune Buggy.
10 year old Ellery Gordon, was allowed to take a spin in the sand rail. His dad, Craig Gordon, very sportingly made some adjustments for the kid to reach the pedals so that he could easily drive and also advised him to not have too much fun. And fun, he did have! Ellery sped the car more than 55mph in the sand and surprisingly did that with the front two wheels in the air! The 55mph wheelie with the sandrail is enthralling to say the least. In response to the concern some people raised, Craig Gordon, said, "May be I am a 'bad parent' for allowing my son to do this. I certainly do not believe that. This is my only son and I love him more than anything. In the last 10 years, my son has been captain of his High School wrestling team, become an amazing snowboarder, was a competitive springboard diver, has jumped into a fast moving river to save an old woman, become Vice President of his fraternity, and has worked closely with the public defenders office in Tucson Az. My son has just graduated University of Arizona with a 3.8 grade point average and will be attending one of the five law schools that have accepted him this fall. So, so far, he is turning out pretty good."
Haters gonna hate! I salute you Mr. Craig for standing by what you have let your son do and take due responsibility. Mr Craig, here, deserves to be appreciated to be one cool dad.
