Bought it for great engine power. It revvs on highways and is as smooth as a petrol engine. You will love covering long distances on it. Exteriors are decent, smaller to other SUVs and one can easily park in city. Ground clearance is 200mm - decent for dirt tracks.

Nissan forgot to put shock absorbers. You must have a strong back. Clutch was an after thought. You mus lift weights to press the clutch. They shipped the car without doing interiors, they did it a quick job before handing it over to the customers. They dont believe in repair, they believe in replacement, maintenance is really expensive. Finally chandni chowk music systems are any day far better. Music system is a joke.

Great fuel economy. 12 - 14 kms on highway and about 10-12 in City. Decent exterior stylingPathetic interiors. Music system is a joke.

My Company  named NKM Cables & Strips (P) Ltd. had purchased a new X TRAIL SLX MT of Nissan make, on dated 30/11/2010 from the CI Nissan local Nissan Dealer at Bhopal. sum of Rs.23, 44,086 (showroom price).
The impugned car X TRAIL SLX MT of Nissan make, is fully defective and is not up to the mark. As for as it’s repairing / servicing at Bhopal was concerned it was somehow manageable, but suddenly the dealership at Bhopal is withdrawn and now there is no after sales   service facility in whole of MP including Bhopal. For the purpose of servicing and repairing a number of times my self had been contacting on the companies helpline number but there is no response. Even the contact details of the senior executives of the company were not given to us in spite of making several requests. It seems that after sale of the car Nissan company is not bothered about any after sales  problems of the customers. 
Nissan X TRAIL SLX MT purchased by us is totally defective and is presently standing idle in our premises as it is beyond repairs. The impugned car besides being repaired in the service station of Nissan, developed more defects. As the car was broken down and failed to function in June 2012 at Mandideep Dist. Raisen (M.P.) the matter was reported to your helpline assistance and upon several requests of my self temporary assistance was sent on dated 22/6/2012   and on dated 26/6/2012 the car was towed to another Nissan dealer at Nagpur M/s Navnit Nissan (around 380 KM) Who had charged a sum of Rs.46, 493/- on dated 2/7/2012 against certain repairs, but of no avail.

That soon thereafter the impugned car was brought back by us it again developed defects and was broken down. When contacted for assistance my self has been told to carry the car to Surat (around 500KM) for further repairs.  After being broken down the impugned car is lying idle in the premises of our Company and is not usable.

GOOD FUEL ECONOMY,VERY POOR IN PERFORMANCE

 

Exterior Looks good, muscular good overall visibility.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good seats,poor audio, no usb port for audio,no reverse parking sensor(can be a pain in city)terribly expensive parts with sixty day waiting, ie an alloy spare wheel for the spare wheel costs thirty five thousand rs, cheaper to buy four spare alloy wheel from after market. Front head lamps in non xenon model is inadequate, fogging of windshield is common during rain even with the heater on in kerala rains.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great engine,gear box suspension and no body roll .good mileage at hundred km to six and half liters of reliance diesel.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Good ride no roll,good accelaration,good brakes, bridgestone tyres have a good mileage {done twenty five thousand km and still should go another twenty.

 

Final Words Avoid buying  tghe car, spare parts not available,have to come fron japan sixty min days according to dealer evm nissan kochi,frightfully expenve parts.

it has unsecured gear box and in my car it was damaged with 150000 km . my friend also having pathfinder with CVT engine and its was also damaged within 50 thousand km . i am not suggest this car to anybody

AFTER A LONG SURVEY I BOUGHT NISSAN XTRAIL SLX MT LAST MONTH HAVE DROVEN APPROX 2000KM(some times we buy product like car also with the behaviour & response of the dealer which i found was better than the Toyota and Mitsubishi dealer here at Agra).   

Exterior:-FRONT LOOKS  VERY IMPRESSIVE & MUSCULAR BUT BACK IS OK TYPES.

 Interior (Features, Space & Comfort):-THE BEST FEATURE OF THE CAR IS ITS BIGGER SUNROOF WHICH GIVES REAL MEANING OF SUNROOF.

AUDIO NOT AS PER MARK ALTHOUGH ITS 6 CD CHANGER BUT WITHOUT USB & BLUETOOTH SUPPORT,

SHOULD HAD GPS DEVICE , PARKING CAMERA OR SENSORS WHICH ARE MISSING 

AUDIO CONTROL NOT ON STEERING...etc

AT THIS PRICE SEGMENT CAR SOME BASIC COMMON THINGS ARE MISSING .

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox:-ENGINE SOUNDS GOOD

PICKUP / TORQUE BOTH ARE TOO GOOD IN CITY AND AS WELL ON HIGHWAYS ,

FUEL MILEAGE IS TOO GOOD APPROX 20 ON HIGHWAY (DELHI AGRA) AND APPROX 15 IN CITY, GEARS ARE ALSO VERY SMOOTH GIVES FEELING OF SOME LUXURY SEDAN,

4 WHEEL DRIVE MAKES SENSES WHEN REQUIRED UNLIKE SOME ALL TIME 4 WHEEL WHICH I FEEL ARE NOT REQUIRED LIKE FURTUNER.

Ride Quality & Handling:-GROUND CLEARANCE GOOD,

OFF ROAD DRIVING PROPER BALANCED AND HANDLING CONTROL ALSO SEEMS PROPER EXCEPT FOR CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON ON STEERING WHICH I FEEL IS NOT PLACED RIGHTLY ON STEERING AS IT GETS PRESSED UNKNOWINGLY AND VERY FREQUENTLY.

STEERING SOME HOW IS NOT USER FRIENDLY.

Final Words:- APART OF SOME SMALL BASIC THINGS MISSING OVERALL I FOUND XTRAIL AS A GOOD DIFFERNT SUV LITTLE OVERPRICED BUT ITS DIFFERNT.  

Areas of improvement  

REAR SEATS CAN BE GIVEN SOME MORE SPACE FROM VERY VERY LARGE & ORGANIZED BOOT.

STEERING NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED INFACT SHOULD BE CHANGED.

REAR SENSER / CAMERA / BLUETOOTH / USB SHOULD BE ADDED.

 

GOOD TO DRIVEREAR SEAT

Exterior Nice rugged exteriors gives it a true SUV look. No changes should be made to the exteriors as an SUV has to have that boxy look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Basic Interiors, bottle holders in front could have been larger. Would love to have the stereo controls (volume etc) on the stearing. Nice leather upholstry. Love the auto AC with temperature controls. Sun roof is the biggest plus its size is awesome.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent Engine as known worldwide. Gives 12 km per litre in deisel which is acceptable. Gear shifts are smooth.

Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable ride. Seats are electronically adjustible and front seats have heaters. Handles rough roads very well specially on higher speeds.

Final Words Over all nice vehicle. 4x4 is extremely effective having being used it in hilly terrain as well as in 3' deep water logged road. Highway drive is not weary at all. Value for money only for long time buyers. Its engine is the best.

Areas of improvement Improvements required only in interiors. Make it more attractive for people to buy.
