      Exterior

The exterior looks is really good and i proud to be an owner of Nissan Terrano 85PS XE diesel.

I love the front and rear design of this car which is really feel you proud. This is really a good looking and macho SUV.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

The interior of the car is okay but seat comfort is perfect for a long journey. The space is plenty and you will really enjoy this SUV in terms of space and overall built quality.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

There is no lag in power in City bumper to bumper traffic. The driving exp. is awesome feels you are driving a sedan car with SUV feel. The road view is perfect and helps to do easy overtaking even in traffic which usually do. The car actually start giving performance after the car is driven 1500 KM and you really feel the power of the car. The engine start deliver better performance. It is said in Car manual that the engine will deliver its best as you score 6000 KM and you will get the best perfoirmance of the engine. I have done 4200 KM in 3 months but I feel the engine is performing better day by day. Waiting for another 1800 KM to finish and eager to feel the best performance of the car.

I mostly drive in Cities with descent traffic in my way to office and I am getting constanty > 20.4 KMPL with 80% of time as AC ON. I drive almost 52-54 KM daily which I spend going to office and back to home.

Highway driving is pleasant and sportier with the 85 PS variant if you are using the right ger shift with correct RPM around 1800 to 2000 and you will get the real punch. Overtaking is easy and you feel that you are the king of the road while behind the Steering.

Maintenance is at every 10,000 KM and I am yet to do my first free servicing.

      Ride Quality & Handling

The ride quality is superb and handling of the car is awesome. You will feel safe in the car while driving in the highways or ghats. Steering is well handled while doing the cornering.

Overall this is a well planted car.

      Final Words

The presales in SHIV, Nissan, Pune is awesome and I get the my car delivered on the same date that they promised. It tooks 14 days to deliver the car from the day of booking.

I will definitely recomend this CAR to you if you are really looking for a SUV. It is a SUV with good looks, excellent ride and handling, good fuel economy from this size of the car.

Excellent buy. go for it... Take a test drive and decide.

      Areas of improvement

Interiors can be better to some extent.

I will only say to Nissan, India to make avilable of the fog lamps which I am wiating from last 3 months to install in my terrano.

Exterior Looks, Ride Quality, Handling, Fuel Economy, Fun to driveFog lamp is not easily available in showroom if you buy XE varriant, otherwise no cons as per my exp

Exterior One of the best SUV in this category available in Indian car market for look and style. Of course it’s replica of Renault Duster still Terrano is more muscular and majestic.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Terrano can easily fit 5 people without any space compromise. Seats are broad to give good thigh support for long drives and seats are in good height level for road visibility and increasing confident level of driving. Suspension of the Terrano is also surprisingly too good we won’t bother when crossing speed humps and potholes.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox We bought XL Plus 85 PS diesel variant which deliver enough power with full load even in hill roads. I drove my terrano in all conditions like city roads, highway and hill area around 250 km with AC and I got 18 km mileage in average which is very impressive like this kind of solid built SUV. Nissan can improve the gear shift quality for Terrano.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality of Terrano is really delightful as well handling too it gives lots of confidence while driving on highway.

Final Words I am very proud to be owner of this Japanese brand SUV.  I am sure you won’t get disappointed if you decided to go with Terrano. Nissan name it as Terrano Yes it’s true once you get into the SUV you will say “Terror “NO.

Areas of improvement Nissan can improve the gear shift quality for Terrano. It’s not that much smooth when compared to ecosport.

Road presence, solid build quality, mileage, air conditioning system, 16 inch machined alloy wheelscan be improved gear shift quality

Exterior One of the best looking SUV in its segment . The front is simply awsome really would like to congratulate Nissan engineers for that . The back portion of the SUV is not as great as Front but still its hugely imporved than dustor .

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Feature : avg , Basic music system but sound quality really good .

      Space : avg

Comfort : Good , although I would have liked bit more space for people sitting at the back , may be nest design change can compensate a bit on boot space and give a little more room for people sitting at the back .

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox One feels a Turbo lag till about 1500 -1700 rpm although its not much of a bother but surely there is scope for nissan to provide more power at lower rev range in the next addition . Beyond  1800 rpm its butter . Terrano once on the go will really bring smile on your face .

      Fuel economy:

      13.5 -15  in city

      15 - 16 on Highway

Ride Quality & Handling Only One word to express it : GREAT!

Final Words One of the best looking Budget SUV on indian roads, has a really good ride quality. On basics this SUV is best in the lot (including XUV 500). But that does not take away the fact that Terrano has some small issues which has to be taken care if nissan wants a big pie in this segment.

Areas of improvement Heavy Clutch definately needs imporvement, only basic features available even in top model, No automatic version, no 4X4 version yet.

great ride quality , good brakes , good fuel economy , great styleHeavy clutch pain in high traffic, only basic features , average space for back seat

Final Words Never buy or service your car at SURYA NISSAN, Bangalore. They(SURYA NISSAN) don't care about customers, they speak very rude, they don't even wash your car when you give it for service. I have purchased my Terrano about 6months ago and I have given my car for free serivce, and they said the bill will be approximately 11k that is Eleven thousand, I was wondering why should i pay 11k for a free service, I'm fully aware of Oil changes, Oil n air n dielsel filters but that should not come upto 11 thousand rupees. When i spoke to the executive about it, he says Nissan gives only 2 free services with car and they are not responsible for further services and he repeated the same thing for almost an hour and he was rude. He says, he has added charges for washing, consumables and window cleaning. But that's not what a "free service" means. I then spoke to the manager at the service center and he said the bill would be around 6-7k approx. I recieved my car with 6k bill and they havent even washed the car properly, full of dust and its pathetic. Worst ever service and service people at Surya Nissan, Bangalore. They will be nice when you buy a car from them, but expect them to be your enemies after you buy it.

      Areas of improvement

Car looks amazing and the performance is also satisfactoryWorst service centre and poor mileage

      Exterior

Exactly a copy of Duster... very boring and don't get the Nissan Feeling.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Horrible ergonomics for the driver.  Rusty seat adjustment system no lower back support in all seats.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Except for fuel economy everything else is horrible.. or a better description is *Dangerous*

      Ride Quality & Handling

After using a Toyota Innva for 6 years I made a bad choice in buying this vehicle without even test driving it.

      Final Words

       Bitterness in my mouth.

      Areas of improvement

I once owned a Nissan Maxima in Australia. I made that choice after test driving both the Nissan and a Mercedes Benz.  It was never a regret.  After returning to India I bought a Nissan Terrano without test driving it due to nostalgia and pleasant previous ownership of a Nissan.  Only after buying it I discovered it is exactly the same as a DUSTER in appearacnce :-( Very bad ergonomics and my body pained and ached even after spending a few hours on the trecherous Chennai Trafcic.  However my main complaint is a dangerous one.  My rear left wheel gets stuck sort of freezes randomly when I park and then come back to move again.  I complained twice to the Chennai Dealer who sold the vehicle to me. They retained it for a few days heavily inconvincing me and interrupting my daily commute not to mention the huge cost in hiring cars. Rhe dealer twice returned the vehicle to me saying that they have fixed the problem for good and it wont ever recur again.  It happened again yesterday when I parked to buy some bread.  I am driving the vehicle now with my heart in my mouth - not sure when the wheel may freeze and get me involved in a major accident.  NEVER every buy this Vehicle. It is a BOMB.... actually a time bomb.. never know when it will explode and kill you and all your dear ones with you

MilageThe rear left weel randomly freezes when I park and then start the vehicle to move.

Exterior This car really stands out from its brother, the Renault Duster. It's much better and classy looking that the Duster. The Nissan front grill and dual headlamps do give it that extra touch and the rear lights do suit the car very well.

Interior The Interior of the Terrano is very nice. The plastic feels very coarse and classy while the leather wrapped steering gives you a premium feel. The only thing missing are the steering mounted controls. The Touch Screen Nav system for an extra cost of Rs 55,000 is definately worth it. The leg room of the Terrano is World Class and it's very well suited for Indian roads in terms of long journies.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Engine of the Terrano is very responsive, although I have the 85 PS version, the moment I step on the accelerator, the car just gets to 120+ km/h. This is very nice for a heavy car like the Terrano. The average Fuel Economy (according to the digital computer) is about 15-17 km/l which is very nice since I drive in the city.

Ride Quality & Handling The Terrano will go on the worst roads and make you feel like your napping at home. The car doesn't viabrate on rough roads. The handling is very smooth. You can take turns at 80 km/h without disturbing your passengers.

Final Words This car is an absolute winner in all spheres exept the 3 lakh price gap from the Renault Duster.

Areas of improvement Only the On steering Controls.

Good looks, Epic Milage, Safety FeaturesNo steering mounted controls.

It's awesome. I bought this car in 2017. I love this car. It's very comfortable and economy for middle class family. Only one reason is not resale market but once you bought this car you never sell this car. It's my promise.

I bought Nissan Terrano one week back, here are some of the points about it.

Exterior Looks good better than duster, a Bit of musculine cuts added on to it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) No leg space on rear seat, no music control on stearing, very nice boot space, no cheap plastic used, music system is also not of fine quality.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Economical, looks OK, maintenence cost can't be commented now, real picture will be revealed in another year.

Ride Quality & Handling Front seats are good, brakes system is very bad,  No leg space on rear seat, no music control on stearing, very nice boot space, no cheap plastic used, music system is also not of fine quality.

Final Words Top model is not a value for money, Innova is much much better with low maintenance and High resale value.

Areas of improvement Nissan should seriously work on leg space, Brake system. Top Model is over price. Music System. I regret buying it.

Good Fuel Economy, Good Boot SpaceLight Weight, NO LEG SPACE, INEFFICIENT BRAKES, LOW GRADE SOUND SYSTEM, OVERPRICED, RARE FEATURES

Exterior Exterior is supreme. It looks much more expensive as far as exterior is concerned. Agressive look, almost perfect for an SUV that looks sleek yet tough. Looks better than the Duster in my opinion. The front profile is very tough and the tapering headlamps make it look more modern. The rear profile is decent too, but not as good as the front look. The side profile is also praise worthy. The wheels of all variants are stylish and does justice to the cars stunning looks.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) This is the area where the Terrano lets you down. The interiors are very uninspiring. The design is not up to the mark. The quality of the materials feels cheap. Touch the power window switches and you get the evidence. There is scarcity of storage space. It dosent have many storage places or bottle holders. I always struggle to find a better place to keep my phone.

The ergonomics are also not up to the mark. Although the cabin is spacious, but in the front seats your knees will hit the door panel which containes the power window switches. The electronic controls for ORVMs is underneath the handbrake, although they can be used without raising the hand brake, but they could have done better. On higher variants the additional AC for the rear passengers can be intrusive if you want to seat 3 at the back. The leg room and head room is decent at the back. The seats are comfortable but the you will notice the missing armrest for the front seaters. The boot is massive and load lift isnt too high.

The car contains USB and bluetooth and has an option for a touchscreen MMI with SATNAV and it comes with a remote like gadget fitted on the steering wheel, which can act as a substitute for the missing controls for the Music system on the steering wheel. No seat height adjustment, and no reach adjustment for steering. Even the instrument panel is confusing, the reserve light for fuel turns on when the fuel level completely drops to 0.

Beacuse its an SUV at such a low price, they had to do the cost cutting and its evident in the interiors.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The Petrol engine feels a bit under powered for aggressive driving although for smooth driving its good enough. The diesel is better though. Fuel economy is not impressive for petrol (averaging 9kmpl), diesel might be better. Gearbox is notchy. 6 speed diesel gearbox is better than 5 speed petrol gearbox.

Ride Quality & Handling Driving is good because this car is very stable, body roll is very less and almost non existant at average speeds. Plus this car just glides over bumps without any problem. Performance is impressive. The steering is very hard but gives you good feeback.

Final Words Overall the car is good, but there is massive room for improvement.

Areas of improvement Interiors and features.

This is very powerful car in the segment and also value for money..but only one thing bad of this car is its.. service cost ..i mean maintenance cost..off course it's nissan. ..otherwise this is perfect offroad car... And another one thing it's resale value is very low in the market of india. so if someone want to change the car then its very difficult to get good price for terrano
