Exterior - This is probably the area where Sunny loses out to most of the competition - Verna, City,... It doesn't win over them however it's not the ugly duckling either. Looks are decent but not something that'll turn your head. I have the 2015 model with changes in styling - headlamps, indicators on mirrors..
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) - It beats every other car in terms of comfort hands down. I've owned a Verna for couple of years and have used City which one of my friends' drive, nothing comes close to this in comfort or space. I'll start with the music system in features list and for me it's a breeze with USB, AUX, IPOD support and a bluetooth for phone connectivity. The call quality is really good without any drop in performace. The screen works as camera while reversing with lines to help park/reverse. The AC is pretty good on automatic climate control mode (I've rarely used it on manual mode till now), they could have connected AC to the rear blower though. Seats are fabric but comfortable with ample thigh support. What I sorely missed was arm support for long drives.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox - The dci puredrive engine is superb, I've taken the car to extremes and it lives upto the expectations. 1st and 2nd gears don't have enough power but 3rd gear onward car starts to come in shape. I've used the 3rd gear from a speed of around 25 kmph to 90 kmph. If you just want to cruise on a highway you can easily do 120-130 kmph at 2.5k RPM. Any speed above that you'll gear the grunt from engine, I've personally taken it to 170 kmph for couple of seconds max and it did maintain its stability even then. If you have a good 4-6 lane highway then cruising at around 120 is the best speed for this car.
Brakes are pretty decent though it would take some time to get used to them as their response builds up rather than hitting immediately.
Gearbox is something that they probably can work on especially while shifting from 2nd to 3rd the response is pretty poor and it feels super stiff.
Fuel Efficiency - Is one of the plus points, I've got around 16 kmpl in city and 21-22 kmpl on highways with 60% of running in city and 40% on highways.
Ride Quality & Handling - This is the area where this is unmatched, it does not feel super light like other Japanese cars nor it feels heavy like most of the European cars. Nissan has somehow found the sweet spot in terms of handling. There is slight body roll on the car when you corner too quickly but it maintains its shape. Steering is inch perfect, no play nothing. You have to move by certain amount - you steer it at corresponding angle and it works flawlessly. It rides over small potholes without you knowing they existed.
On days I've done 500 kms (to and fro) within 12 hours (4 hours of driving on each side, 4 hours of work) and never felt tired.
Final Words - It is a beautifully assembled car but you can see its true colours only on highways, I personally still feel it might not be the best city car.

Exterior It is good but not the best but the best part is that it looks a lot longer then any other car of its segment.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are very basic and could have been better. The best part is the space inside the car and the boot space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Juast past 1800rpm its a bomb but below that its slugish. Clutch is light. I get upto 20kmpl in the city when you drive normly but even if you drive at faster speed in a short gear it still manages to give more then 16kmpl in the city on the highway it returns upto 26kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is one of the best part of this car as well as the ride quality but it isnt ment for rough roads at all.
Final Words One should buy this car if he wants and drivers car in this segment because of its handling and braking and also huge amount of space that this car offers.

Nice looking car and the mileage is good BUT The pre and post service is very bad, I bought thinking it will improve but has worsen. Only couple couple of service centre to cater all mumbai and it pathetic.
The brakes are really bad and always skides at high speeds, have asked many who own a sunny and its the same with them too.
I will not recommend you to buy this car. They may give a heavy discount to lure you be smart not to fall for it.

Exterior Excellent design. Its aeodynamic design helps you to manuover very easily.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very awesome, especially rear. Solid space.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Perofrmance is extremely good especially in highways. Fuel economy inside the city may not be very Attractive.
Ride Quality & Handling No complaints.
Final Words "VALUE FOR MONEY". Gear box is very smooth. Tyres give a good feel of road grip. power stearing glides you through the city traffic. You can drive the car in 3rd gear while you are 25 kms/hour. My experience in highway is extremely good. Smooth drive and excellent pick up.
Areas of improvement I bought sunnvy XV petrol variant with push start. Good feel of the car. Fuel economy especially within the city is really worrisome. You may not get more than 9 Kim's/litre. Need good console. Nissan hasn't provided One. These days talking on the phone iwhile driving has become a necessary evil.

Nice exterior with perfect aerodynamics style
Interior - Car is roomy, perticularly rear seat leg space is fantastic
Engine Performance also very good but gear shifting is required to be improve with respect to smoothness
Ride Quality & Handling - I enjoy the car ride very much, only thing is that within 6 months my car AC is not functioning properly. Such a nice car with high price should not have such under perforformed AC.
Final Words - I purchased the petrol version car (Sunny XV) 2015 Feb.
Comfort level is very good although fuel consumption is quite high compare to current similar segment car. I am getting max 15km/l in the high road. AC is very bad as the rear seat passenger not get the effect even though blower is present.
Moreover, within 6 months my car AC is not functioning properly (not getting cool).
I could not got the scope to visit the workshop, as it is 150 km away from my place, but definitely I am looking desperately to rectify it.
Beleive this is not the sign of a new sedan car who is competing with Honda City or Toyota Etios
Areas of improvement- Shifting gear, Fuel economy, AC, inside look and backlit buttons for easy finding in dark.
Powerful engine with smooth performance, stability with speed, Exterior lookGear shifting is not so smooth, More gadgets can be used inside, AC performance very bad

By 2017, I bought Nissan sunny XV. The car has been driven upto 40,000 km. The gear is not working properly, tightness of stearing, clutch, door noise etc. From the day of purchasing, I have given it for 6 services. But the problem has not been rectified till now. I'm really disappointed with this. By 2013, I had bought the same model car. It was found to be good crossing nealy 3.5 lakh km. With that faith I again selected your product. But now I'm totally disappointed. This product is totally waste. This new model is not upto the mark. I'm not satisfied with your interiors. This new model is totally incomplete. Very disguisting. The interior color what I expected was not there it again disappointed me. With each and every part I feel somewhat defective and makes me feel that my total money has gone a vain. If someone ask me about the car I would definitely suggest them not to buy the car. Sorry.
Regards, Nissan Customer.
