Exterior Excellent look, sporty feeling with sexy curves. You will definitely fall in love after test drive like me, it’s a legend and I have owned it.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent in this price range, good space, very much comfortable compared to other ones.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent performance on highways as well as in city. Because of a big engine in a small body it runs like a hurricane. No impact of AC on performance and pickup.

Ride Quality & Handling Wow what a car, after driving so many cars finally this is the best one I am driving. Nissan's quality is excellent. No other company has such a piece in such a price.

Other companies ( Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai) are treating customers like money banks, Big price for a cheap build material. If you are not a Maruti Suzuki or a Hyundai employer, employee or even the shareholder. I advise you to go for this one. You will not be cheated.

Areas of improvement Central Locking should be with anti-theft alarm. But probably will be available by September as an add-on kit in a price of 2500 Rs.

Before I write this review, just want to inform all that XE model for Micra Active has been scrapped by Nissan. I wanted to inform this because there is too much of complaints on this point in the reviews. So, Guys keep ur mind clear if you opt for Micra Active.

I too got lured by their initial promo's with a starting price of 3.5 lacs for XE model Ex-showroom. But I would say, its worth a buy, choosing the high end XV Safety Pack which ofcourse stretched my buget from XE - 4.2 Lacs to XV Safety Pack - 5.5 Lacs (On-Road) at the time of purchase.

I considered Micra Active over SWIFT, Hyundai i10 because of the excellent features of this vehicle and also SWIFT and i10 are now a days a very common sight in roads and want to stan-out of the normal.

Finally bought MICRA ACTIVE XV Safety Pack, White Color, The car was delivered to me on  10th Oct 2013

Exterior Good Styling and Design, Headlamps are good and the focus can be adjusted with respect to the number of occupants.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quality of Plastics (Particularly on the doors)are sort of OK!! but nothing to cry out loud, Let's say its decent enough considering the price. Excellent Cabin space and Head-room when compared to Maruti Swift, Ford Figo, Honda Brio. Leg space for the rear passengers are too good. Even if you adjust the front seats to its fullest back position, you still got ample leg-room space which is not the case in SWIFT. A/c performance is good when compared to SWIFT.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Since this car emphasizes on mileage, the power is slightly tweaked. When compared to SWIFT, RITZ, i10and Honda BRIO, power and pick-up is slightly low. But when u get a mileage of 19-20 Kmpl in Highways and 16-17 Kmpl in city, its not a big deal. As per my experience Power, Pick-up and Mileage are reasonably well balanced. However the quality of the gearbox is really an area of concern, in my personal view SWIFT, i10 and Brio fares better than Micra Active. Nissan can improve on it.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent Ride Quality and Handling is very easy and comfortable especially the power steering is a real treat. But mind you it takes some time to adjust yourself while handling the steering but still Honda BRIO's Electronic Power steering is a winner. If you travel without companions on a slightly bumpy road, the ride may not be comfortable as the shock absorbers are not so responsive. As per my experience this is because they have reduced the over all Kerb Weight by 30 Kgs which makes it to rattle a bit.

Final Words Its a good Hatchback with loaded features at an unbelievable price. No other car can match the specs for this price range. My personal suggestion would be Micra Active at any given day, after making so many comparisons with other brands. No one else provides ABS and Dual Stage Air-Bags at this price level. Brand NISSAN though not well established in india is slowly but strongly making a presence.

Dealer Experience was very pleasant for me, as I bought it from RAMANI NISSAN Coimbatore. They are very responsive to the clients calls. In many reviews, its the dealers who are at fault and nothing to complain about NISSAN as such. 

Areas of improvement Can improve upon Shock Absorbers, Must provide Rear Wipers, Increase the no. of Service centres, Ground clearance is low but I had never felt its too low to complain about when you drive.

Exterior Great  look.  diffrent model.  Powerful head lamb. Rear side tail lamb is nice.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very  much comfortable with other hatchbsck cars. 251 ltr boot space enough space.

Enough space in rear seat. rear seat belt for safty of rear passengers. Laggage space is Ok with small family. Dash board light is good. If we open the lock it will be on. Night time is good for this option.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The great performance.  Fuel economy is good. Gearbox is OK.

Ride Quality & Handling Driving is excellant.  handling is good. Stability is excellant. City driving is good. Turning radious is less. 4.6 mtr only. We can drive the car with single  hand. More suitable for womens. excellant front view. No need to put any pillow in driving seat.tilt staring is good . We can improve our driving comfort level.

Final Words Value for money. NO. 1 hatchback in B segment. world class engine.

Areas of improvement Ground clearance is less compare to other hatchback .customer relation should improve. Dealers are improve their service side.

I have purchased this car on March 21st. The car is really very nice than comparing to Maruthi celerio and Hyundai Grand i10. The space is very good inside and exterior look is good. Good dealer in Bangalore. i have driven 1000 Kms getting average mileage of 16 KM/Litre both on Highways and city. Good boot room of 251 litre. Powerfull  engine of 1200cc.Having airbags both for driver and pasenger in my model and also ABS.Nice to drive. Good music system with 4 speakers.No rear wiper in high end model also. In celerio only 1000cc engine and boot space,vehicle size is very low comparing to micra active. Grand i10 is good but difficult in getting mileage as the same i10 engine is used. It will give mileage only 15km/litre. Micra active is having very good space for passenger. It is a very good car iin this hatchback session. Can go for this car. Feels good.Very good car.

It has good driver space, leg room, rear seat leg room and good boot space, dashboard is nicely done though it takes some time to adjust. While running it feels like big box car and awsome feeling does not come ( May be the test drive car was not in good condition)

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
I drove this car twice and found that the first time feeling was not there second time. Power is low, in cities like Bangalore you  need power & swiftness to move into traffic.

Ride Quality & Handling
Ground clearance is just good, i meausred it with inch tape and on big humps, Power steering did not felt very smooth, Turning radius was very good you can take a turn on busy road easily.

Final Words
It comes ~3.56 L Ex showroom in Bangalore and onroad around 4.3. in that it's a good value car. But i would not go with the looks and price of the car since company's after sales service and quality is still a big challange, caution is flagged here specially for Bangalore residents due to poor attitude of dealers.

Areas of improvement 
No localization with Indian circumstances i guess they simply imported from Europe and started selling in India.
After sales service, parts availability, and customer satisfaction should be taken care Also I feel Engin power should increase otherwise lower the price.

An year back, I was searching for a car with fresh looks, for city usage with budget around 5L. After a long research finalized 'Nissan Micra Actice - XL'.  This variant lacks audio system and rear power windows. Chose this variant specifically as I wanted to try 2-din audio/video system with reverse gear integrated from the out market.

Test driven a lot of cars (almost all in this segment), read lot of forums and got friends opinions (of course). My priority list has these 3 at top: 1. Fresh/unique look 2. Good City Mileage 3. Ease of Driving within the city especially.

I now have clocked 15K kms and used my car for more than an year. Its now time for my 'feedback' (not an expert, so would stay away from the tech word 'review'):

I have made a right decision choosing this car :). The ultra light Steering is a pleasure to drive especially in bumper-to-bumper traffic. An U-turn in those traffic conditions with a narrow road, piece of cake with this car. I would say this confidently, as few times tried Figo and Swift in the similar conditions and feel Micra is the best among these.

Exterior It's fresh and different than the others in the road. Flexible Bumpers! Stayed Strong and avoided damage in lot of instances due to it's flexibility.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious in this segment. Glove-box comes with the 'tilt' basic knob, A regular 'pull up' knob is missing. Dashboard design is decent. The Round Air-Vent looks good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Getting an average Fuel Economy of 15kmpl (80% city, 20% highways), Which is good. Gear needs an improvement, the first gear especially. At times is hard especially if tried in an hurry-bury. But upon usage, 'I got used to it'.

Ride Quality & Handling Good Suspension, ground clearance. Handling too is good. Steering needs a special mentioning here. You got to feel it to believe. Service The bigger part comes here: Most of the user reviews earlier spoke bad about Nissan's Service, which made me to think twice. Later heard that since 2014 March, the prior service company Hover Automotive (HAI) had moved out and Nissan entered directly into service.   I have completed 2 major services now (6th month and 1 year), and it's great. Especially the last one made in Jubilant Nissan - Gerugambakkam: Good Service, great response, on time delivery, also the pricing is decent.

94-Pahal,Bhubaneswar-752101.Anant Nissan is run and managed by fraudsters. Order was placed with Ananta Automobils (P) Ltd. NISSAN MICRA SHOWROOM,Pahal,Bhubanesear against cash n cheque deposit of Rs.6,44,610.00 for a New NISSAN MICRA Car on 09-10-2015 by Dr. Nabhagan Swain of vill-Eranch in d district of cuttack.

But a Preowned n used touch-up 2013 Manufactered MICRA Car was delivered at Eranch by the showroom driver on 10-10-2015. Objection the showroom assured to replace the allged car with a New one very soon within 3 days.

But approched over phone many times n pertionally twice the Authersid Manager every occasion is sleeping over the matter n taking over time. THE DOCTER OWNER of the vechile desires for refond of money. Tillnow (12-11-15) the showroom owner nither deliver the new NISSAN MICRA car nor refonds the money. MY DEAR FRIENDS TO SEETHROUGH N RECONSIDER MANY A TIMES BEFORE BUYING A CAR OF NISSAN MAKE through Ananta Automobiles, Pahal, Bhubaneswar.

I have bought a new Nissan Micra Active XV before 15 days ago. Two days ago it was crash while driving. I sent it at the Nissan Micra Showroom Shivalink Cars Pvt. Ltd. IB Nissan (Service Centre) Rajkot (India). But they told me that it would be ready after 20-25 days!! I think it is a very poor type of service. Service centre does not have parts of the car!!! In short car is so good but the Service is very very poor. 😱 I request to CEO Of Nissan Micra that if he does not glimps on such types of reviews and problems of the customer, the growth rate of company will be imballanced. It is important that u provide a good car but it is more important that u make it respectable by giving the best service to the customer. Guys pls tell me if I will celebrate with my Nissan or not?

Comfortable to drive with wide interior space.Bad Company service.

I am writing this review after driving this car for one year now.

First off, My sincere thanks to Carwale for helping me choose a car based on my requirements. (Through Carwale, I also got to get some good friends who also bought this car at the same time from Hyderabad).

Now, comming to the review for Micra active XVS version, my main requirements were Safety (as I am a city driver), Fuel efficiency, and Comfort.

This is my first car, I learnt my driving and drove this for about 7500 KM now and had my Second service (after 1 year) done  last week.

Exterior

Nissan has done  its bit with Micra active to attract the City drivers, with its improved fuel efficiency and all the just required features for a daily office goer.

Exteriors are of good quality, same as that of the original Micra version. It also came with a sporty front bumper which improved the looks for a mostly faminine looking Micra.

All it did not offered me was a rear wiper, which I awas aware, and will be hardly used except when in heavy rain. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Before buying this car, I looked for comfortable seating and a better boot space. As I drove the car all these days, I found that the seating is comfortable and ergonomically designed. Interestingly and contrary to its looks, the rear seating is as spacious as that of maruti Swift's (One of my friend drives Swift so we could compare).

Other features such as Autolock, Front dual airbags, ABS, Fuel economy meter and Four power windows, these doesnot come for other cars at this price point.

But When compared to Ritz/Swift, I feel that the plastics on the doors, and dashboard panels are thinner and looks inferior. I think Micra tried to reduce the weight of ACTIVE variant by reducing the thickness of the plastics.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

The 1200CC gasolene engine is smoother enough to drive comfortably in city traffic. Vibrations are minimal and there were no problems found with the engine till now.

FE so far on an average its charting 14.5-15 Km/l (for 7500 Km) in the city traffic driven mostly on 1-2-3 Gears. I have done only one long drive 200 KM and it showed me 19 kmpl on the meter.

Gearbox had been serious issue that I found need to be fixed for this car (Even my friend who bought this reported the same). First 6 months, gear shifter had been very sturdy and I felt it hard shifting back gears from 2nd to 1st gear (It was not the case in other cars 1st gear should be smoother enough).During service they changed gear cables, and in my second service, the gearshifter was lubricated enough that It is smoother now.

Ride Quality & Handling

Only issue is that the engine's power is tuned to the lower side. Thats the reason when I have all the 5 passengers or when riding uphill, engine grunts a bit. One must test drive with the full load to know the performance.

Not to forget about the service, Lakshmi nissan is offering a decent service here at hyd. But people from interior places should think twice about this. Accessibility to a service center is an important aspect too.

I paid 3000/- for my first service and 2500/- for the second one (Both were free services) (for Oil change and consumables). I learnt that it will be close to 4000 for all the paid services.

Final Words

To conclude, I must say its a yes to go for this car when one wants a decent, SAFE and fuel efficient car for dialy commuting. We dont get a car with these many features (all necessarily required) for this price (5.8 Lakh On road hyd). and its is on par with the Features of Ritz/ Swift high end models with airbags (Price difference of 50000/- min.). As said, one must also thnk about Nissan service centres, if they are not close by, think twice before buying.
