Exterior

It's a cute little car I bought for my wife. I love the looks. It’s neither big nor too small. Nissan needs to put more rubber in door and hatch cavities as dust and water easily gets in to these cavities. The extra rubber will also help in reducing cabin noise.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Roomy enough for driver and front passenger. Less leg room in the back. Interiors are overall comfortable and better than other hatch backs in this segment. It's loaded with features like ABS, front airbags, push button start/stop and keyless entry. Automatic folding rear-view mirrors are a blessing as I don't need to worry about folding them while parking on cluttered New Delhi roads. There is reasonably good room for luggage in the back. Plastic and fabric quality is not top notch but reasonably okay. Sound proofing on the doors could be much better considering Nissan Micra is not a cheap car. The air conditioner is very effective and does not affect the engine performance while driving. Overall the car is very easy to drive and it has a great line of sight for the driver with practically no blind spots. Windows are large enough for front and back passengers. At the same time there is enough privacy in the cabin. Built-in Radio and music system has good sound quality and there is no need to upgrade unless you need a navigation system. The circular console is cute and air conditioner temperature can be controlled, which is a really nice feature.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Initially I was getting a very low mileage and was a bit frustrated. Then I realized that my driving style was wrong for a CVT engine. I was pushing the accelerator a little too much as I thought the initial pickup was slow. Then through experience I learned that CVT engines respond differently than the automatic transmission ones. Once you put the car in the drive mode, press the accelerator just a little and allow the CVT engine to respond. The initial acceleration is slow but after a few meters the CVT engine starts responding quickly to the accelerator and the car will be very zippy. After that take it easy on the accelerator paddle and press it somewhat less than what you would normally do in case of a car with automatic transmission. This will give you a great mileage ~15-16 km/litre in city driving conditions.

I did a lot of research before buying this car. The online reviews aren't very encouraging. But I have lived in US and have known Nissans for a long time. My first car was a Nissan Maxima and I did not have any problems with it. My sister-in-law and landlord had Nissans and they loved them.

Most of the negative reviews in India are about the dealers and their after sales service. Generally there aren't many complaints about the quality of Nissan cars as such. It took me no time to discount those negative reviews. The TV reviews and comparisons that I found on YouTube were mostly paid reviews. They were good for nothing and none of them did a proper research.

Nissans are new to India. They need to polish their edges, which I am pretty sure they are capable of. Their service partner Hoover had let them down. But they should move on and build credibility on their own strengths, quality and customer service.

Sound proofing of the cabin, ground clearance, fixing cavities around doors and hatch, after sales service, product advertising. Nissan must clearly differentiate their products from competition. Nissan India needs a better marketing team.

 

 

Great line of sight while driving. Very easy to drive. Great to drive in New Delhi through traffic.Low ground clearance scratched my bumper, a bit noisy cabin.

 Very unreliable and undependable because it has failed to start five times in one year old car leaving me stranded in the middle of the road.

Fuel economy made to us was 19 km per litre which was the only reason to prefer Nissan over orher more reputed brands of automatic cars but to our horror it is only 8 -9 kms per litre. So please so not believe the promises made by the company.

The service of Vibrant Nissan Gachibowli Hyderabad is worst ever imaginable because they did not respond or extend any help when I was stranded high and dry as the car suddenly fails to start. Very rude and irresponsible.

Areas of improvement  

 Please do something to rectify this recurring problem in my only one year old car. It has to be towed everytime to restart it. Also the Vibrant Nissan Gachibowli Hyderabad should learn to service rather than just sell. It is the service that matters more than the product.

Exterior The Micra's feelings starts with exterior and ends with it too. Good looking 'Youth Car'. Smiling grill, bumped bonet, good curves and cute hatch adds the features good. I own Micra Diesel XV for my brother in Feb 12 and very impresive with the model when compare to the others in the market. We've added the Roof Spoiler, door railings, 'kicking plate', alloy wheels etc for extra look.. finally the cab is looking great. 

The Sunshine Orange Colour has two dimension look. The day time appearence differs with what is in the  night.  Overall eyecatching one.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dash board, steering , instrument pannel , gear box, knobs and switches all are awsome! The electronic ORVMs and power windows are the 'plus'. More interesting is the keyless entry and push button start- it keep the feeling of 21 Century. 

The seat cusions and material are just average and not so looking great and even one cane be bored. I shred Rs. 8000/- for adding ressin covering, rear head-rest and door pads of the matching tones which carries the outer shining to the interior too.

The A/c is good... but not exceptional. The CD player mounting, switches are nice. Good speekers with great audible sterio sound. No reverbaration even till 90% volume !!! Its good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good, relatively calm engine with less vibration. good Pick-up and steady response one.  I just complete 1900 kms and its not the stage for stating mileage. Anyways it gives around 18 kmpl in the city-long traffic rides. (Kochi city traffic!!!) Nissan says its 23kmpl. Let me finish first service.

Ride Quality & Handling Great journey in highways. Good control and responsive steering. effective breaking. We also went through the 'gutter route' leading to ATHIRAPALLY waterfalls and the jerks were patially carried through. Adjustable to the country roads too.

Final Words IT IS OUR FIRST OWNED FOUR WHEELER. AND WE LOOKED FOR A VARIETY APART FROM MS SWIFT VIDI. We finish the vehicle with features for almost Rs40000.00 lesser than swift. (My wallet recorded RS. 6.85 L) It's good to being the proud owner of the cutie.

Areas of improvement Seats and cusions. Body built quality. Thats all.

Final Words

 Micra is a nice car but heavy compitation in small car segment micra cant survive it. It is nice car  but wont worth that much.One day car fell in a manhole at the speed of 10k/h airbag has open unnessesarly, no external damage for the car but airbag has open i spent 30k for that. Company said it is't malfunction.

Exterior Looks cute, different from any other car in the segment. When on the road. You forget u r watching a car in India. Comes with wheel caps, rear viper.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Finish of the plastics is better than Maruti. Plastics used are of high quality and require no polishing, just remove dust n u r ready to run. Space is good. it is bigger than swift but less than i20 and the seats are very comfy too. Has a tachometer of world class quality. Gives u info on average, distance it can cover along with a clock. The digital fuel meter is very reponsive, it tells u how to ride the car. Ac is surprisingly cool!

Comes with integrated audio system with cute orange lights. Mind u it has an aux with very good output. 4 speakers come along good enough!!!

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is a 3 cylinder engine, so it is average friendly. I have been getting an average of 16.6 in city with ac and 20-21 on highways. Recently I had gone to Karnal from Agra a trip of 735 kms and I spent 2500 on petrol. Gearbox is sophisticted and is life long. Reminds u of its japanese siblings Honda And toyota.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good when it comes to city driving car . Handling is exellent, world class.

Final Words Best car in the 1200cc petrol option.

Areas of improvement They are currently using single horn which is quiet on indian roads. accessories are too costly. Personally I wanted nissan alloys but couldn't afford Rs 29000/- + labour and taxes.

eye catchy and pocket friendly and japanese.is the only successful nissan in india therefore dealer network a concern.

Exterior The exteriors of the car are very cute and the car look very compact from outside.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good andd spacious, gap between the driver seat and the rear seat is good. I am 6 feet in height and i can also sit very comfortably behind the driver with the same height streching the seat for the maximum leg room.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very responsive. Though not as quick as INDICA TURBO which was my earlier car. It can be driven in 5th gear at the speed of 45 without knocking at all. ehich adds to fuel economy and less wear and tear of engine parts. Though slightly noisy engine. But is really good. I have been driving the car for 2 months now and have completed 5 kms. latest mileage check revealed the figure of 22kmpl which is 3 kms more then Indica turbo which i drove for 5 yrs. % people sitting inside car is responsive to the accelerator peddal. When sitting inside it appears to be a big car. the clutch of the car is so light that you do not feel you are driving the diesel car at all. it is easy to drive as a ptrol car incomparson to swift/ritz and all the others in the same segment.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is easy and car has a very small turning radius.

Final Words this is car for self driving. Nissan has a proven technology so needless to say. People also say that this car is slightly expensive being a hatchback. To which I say compare the price and feature and you will feel the difference. Also thos is the only car with actual keyless entry. I love the car. And feel good about my descision to buy this beauty.

Good Fuel Economy , Seating comfort, Pushbutton start, clutch..No music system with USB , no key emission

 

Exterior The style is classic, with a shape that appeals to all. Not here to compete with Polo or Punto, it has its own identity, which definately is better than the figo's and swift's and i10's. Build quality is spot on, so is the panel fitup (dont go by the reports given on the pre-launch preview vehicles). Details like door handles, ORVM, grill, tail lamps, bumpers etc are just right and establish Micra as a truly international product.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I wish for more, after Micra delievers an almost complete interior package. Chrome badge on the steering, some chrome on the gear lever, some contrast on the door trims would have lifted this good interiors into the league of greats. Extremely good packaging and ergonomics. Nice dash and seat feel , right steering wheel size and excellent front visibility all work in favor of the product.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is just right for a new car owner like me. Believe me, I dont need the swift K10 engine for my kind of relaxed driving habit. It quiet, just got the right torque and power and is a pleasure to drive for a person who is not in a hurry. Fuel economy in my vehicle (just clocked 300 kms since i bought this) is around 12 already and I am sure its gonna reach 15-16 before I do 1000 kms. Gearbox seems alright, I have not compared this againest any other vehicle but Hyundai i10, and can say that the gearr shift is far better than i10. Other vehicles might have better gear shift, but I am happy with wat i have got.

Exterior Micra looks like 2010 Hatch version of 1960 Ambassador. It looks different BUT not eye catchy like PUNTO or even Nano. Yes it can compete A-Star in Odd looking car race.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Its just 3.7 mtr car & its long bonat takes away most of space, definitely its no where near cars like VISTA, i20, PUNTO, Fabia etc. in comfort & space.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fitted with Logan Diesel, again FIAT 1.3 MJD based cars like Punto, Swift, Vista, Palio, Ritz etc. are way ahead in power delivery. As such Diesel cars have good mileage, more or less the same for all.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Better compared to Wagon R, Beat etc. but VISTA,Swift, Punto etc. have much better road grip & control, especially at Speed above 100 KMPH.

 

Final Words Micra has different "bubble" looks like A-Star (which is also sold by Nissan in some markets), at the 6 Lakhs tag , ther are much better options in competition.

 

Areas of improvement Price is the 1st thing. Among the smallest hatch,but among the biggest price tagged hatch. Rear looks are most disappointing.

Exterior Style s looks like Mini cooper everything is perfect , once u see the car u think this is very small  but u enter inside then u know - how space and comfort u can feel.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Luxurious space inside - driver seat airbag and everything is good - no need to give bad comment and i already swift - compare to maruthi swift - really this is wonder ful car - no words to say abt aircond .. its really cool - max 10 mins everyone inside the car get cool.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engines performace is good for my knowledge and fuel economy i have to check  - and gearbox is good.

Ride Quality & Handling This is like a kid once u done a test drive i am sure u will think to buy - no second thought.
