Exterior This car looks good and scores max in terms of looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors are good to look at, the car is also spacious but which is of no use, the worst part is seating is not good enough give proper thigh support which makes this car an utter flop. I am very much worried about my choice. i would like to say that the car is made roomy at the expense of improper seating which is very bad.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is neither bad nor good, it does its job in a sluggish manner as any 3 cyclinder is expected to be. Gear box is an utter flop as it is not smooth and you can hear noise while shifting which is also annoying. Fuel economy is ok (11.5 kmpl, i clocked 1600 kms)
Ride Quality & Handling Ok but not class leading
Final Words Just if you want stay out and name some different features(i used different but not useful) to your friends at the expense of all the Disadvantages i mentioned above, you can go about it
Areas of improvement Many, especially Dealer service. Dealer ( i am Hyderabad, LAKSHMI NISSAN) guys behave as if you need car but they don't need to sell the car. They don't care about you. No good features like bluetooth (even the audio quality is not so good)
I only bought to stand differently from crowd which I generally do in all the cases. But i had repented for my choice like i do in case of Micra.

Final Words To the attention of all customers who wants to buy Micra from Orion Nissan , Navi Mumbai.
Beware while booking your car with Orion Nissan as the relation between Nissan and the dealer is NOT good... finally the customer will suffer. Please note that the news paper advertisements of Nissan does NOT SHOW Orion as their dealers.
Presently they are arranging car from some other dealers in Mumbai finally you will end up in paying more with less service and delay in delivery or end up in loosing your hard earned money
Normally this delaer will talk to you very well, their true color comes out after booking money is paid they a bunch of liers and cheaters. They will come out with too many excuses and stories please do not believe them
If you contact the Nissan or Hovercraft motors Pvt ltd, you will never get any assisitance in this matter.
If you are booking with other dealers, you may get better deal and better service.
Even if you are booking the car, please ensure that you get the delivery date from them in writing or on a stamp paper.

Though the product Micra is running in Europe for last so many years and Nissan has sold lakhs of these cars, it is surprising to note that till date Nissan in India has not been able to cross 20,000 figure. The fault is not with the product but lies with the Nissan management. In India though the product is manufactured in Nissan plant, the sales and after sales is not looked after by them. They have entered into agrement witn Hoover Automotive India to look after these aspects. Unfortunately Hoover top bosses lack professional approach towards their customers. Due to which if a customer faces any problem with the car no matter how serious, Nissan transfers the issue to Hoover stating that Hoover is the concerned company. Hoover in turn tries not to come in picture and shifts the problem into hands of dealers unqualified mechanics. Due to all this the car keeps on visiting their workshop and the defects remain. Any technical failure in their product is first informed to Hoover by dealer who in turn forward to Nissan for technical support. Nissan provide the technical information to Hoover who then informs dealer. This process takes days in getting the car attended and the customer is the sufferer.

Exterior
The car looks cool with its different style, which looks mature and smart with old design theam(like mini cooper)
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Its good for 4 only, there are options availabe for a proper 5 seater at the same price(am talking about Figo, basic i20, Polo, Vista, Ritz and Swift)
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
No testdrive available yet, hence no comments, but reading professional testers reviews, I can say that its goanna be a good city car, Please dont expect Highway performence of i20, Vista(diesel), Ritz and Swift.
Ride Quality & Handling
One thing am sure about is a very good Ride Quality and Handling coz this is on sale in 150 Countries, So we can expect international quality Ride and Handling.
Final Words
A good City car (XL only) and pure VFM, There is a HUGE price differnece between XL, XE and XV. At 4.70 to 5.50lacs we deffinetly have many better options at this price.
A good step taken by Nissan of giving Airbag on all the versions. Indian governament should make basic safety mandatory on all the cars in India.
Areas of improvement
Nissan please minimise the differnece between XE and XL as most of the people go for a car with power windows and tachometer.

I got my Micra XV 4 days back. Car is very nice but the I had very very bad experience with the dealer in Bangalore.
1. I did not get the commitment on the delivery of my car.
2. I did not get very good response from the Sales executives.
3. When my car was delivered, I was made to wait for 2 hours and car was delivered to me without any ceremony which they promise before delivering the car.
4. Dealer charged me for 10 liters of petrol, but when came out from the Dealer showroom, there was hardl any petrol left in the car.
5. I did not get number plate, I was told that the registration is done, but the registation was not done.
I am still waiting for the registration.
I guess Hyundai and Maruhi are the best in customer service.
This was least expected from company like Nissan. I wish there are some dealers for Micra in bangalore.

Exterior ITs a good looking car but not an eye turner even though there are not too many on the road.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Seats are a nightmare, when i bought it i did not realise that the base 2 models have a one piece seat in the front which is a little too high totally blocking the view from the back seat making the ones seated in the back feel blinded and that also affects the flow of ac air as it gets cold in the front but back is not chilled. The back seat is too thin and low so no neck or thigh support for rear seated. ** Gear box is not smooth and gives a plasic feel which would break if handeled roughly. All Showrooms have top model for test drive with abbs but the base models without it are not good at breaking and above all the engine performs well i have driven it for 1400 KM and its giving me 13.9 Average, and the engine is smooth though makes noise like a deisel engine if the car is not moving and has viberation which you can feel inside the car. I have driven the car to speed around 120 but at that speed the stearing and engine is so smooth that you dont want to zig zag the car and just drive it straight, its frightening to drive the car at above 80 as it feels like its sliding over the road or gliding too smoothly on the surface and not sticking to it. Dont buy it you will want to sell it of right away.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear box is noisy and gives a cheap feeling. Engine has good power specially at 3rd gear and above but if you have the ac on and the car is not moving the sound from under the hood is that of a diesel engine. theengine has idel viberation. Mielage is good i have driven it for 1400 km and is giving me 13.9 and increasing. It is with ac on at all times mix driving conditions of highway and city. I think mileage will increase once i have the first service done.
Ride Quality & Handling Suspension is strong so pot holes are not a problem but the car has a little roll, you wont enjoy turns on sreeds in excess of 60 km.
Final Words Please dont buy this car until and unless you like to change cars frequently.
Areas of improvement XE model interiors are plain black, not at all apealing, the car comes with no wiring so having a stereo fitted means it would require the whole car to be opened up and wrining to be done, you also need to get the central locking done which comes in the xl model only. the seat cover are cheap thin plain black fabric and the seat in the seats in the base 2 models are very cheap and not good to ride.

Update after 3 years & 60000 KM. Impressed with the durability of Micra, everything in tack, no issues what so ever. Still feels like new. Replaced tyres at 40000 KM MRF ZVT-V . Routine Oil & filter replacements at every 10K km, fuel & Air filter replacements at 20K km, and that is it. I love the build quality of this car. fuel economy has always been great 20-23 kmpl always. Don't take extended warrenty, you won't need it.
Inspite of having such a good car, Nissan is spoiling their brand image by letting their Service centers exploit their customers. For instance, my XV deisel is fitted with Renault 1461CC dCi engine, it is the same one as in logan, duster etc. Renault recomends the changing timing belt and drive belt at 120000 KM. However Nissan wants to change it at 60,000KM, the only explaination is to make profits from service. Does not make any sense, i won't let service center folks touch my engine at 60000 which is running just fine, the drive belts are as good as new and why should i disturb the same and introduce new problems, will keep a watch on the condition and will change around 120K km as recomended by Renault. At nissan service center they charge 7.5K to 13K per 10K service, the service center customer relation executives are tought to milk the customers, so i have developed a big trust deficit. After my 40K service at Nissan service center at Kochi, i had a big argument on the labour cost of 3500 (in my opnion for routine service that takes less than 1 hour it should be less than 1000 - Same Nissan service center do the same service for datsun go at 500 INR labour cost), I made a determination not to take my car to Nissan service center there after, i have switched over to Bosch Service, got my 50K and 60K service done at 30% of the cost as compared to Nissan service center, they have atleat one trained and experiance person who leads, they don't yell at you, they don't make false recomendations to take up unnecessary repairs. Typically at Bosch service the parts cost around INR 2050 to 3750 (oil filter @ 450,Oil @ 1600 + after every 20k km fuel filter @1100 , airfilter @600)+1000 INR for labour cost. so it cost me 3000 to 4750 only for every 10K km.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Intelligent key is really cool. Leg space is OK, driver seat does not have height adjustment, the seats are low and might not be very comfortable for people taller than 5ft 10. The glowbox is very very small, it has enough space to keep the user manual and nothing else. Rear seats are comfortable for 2, leg space is good but shoulder space is not good enough for 3.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is excellent, engine brake is little insufficient which leaves you applying more brake than in any other car, gear box is also OK. There is absolutely no turbo lag, power delivery is very good and seamless. Gives me 20 -23 kmpl which i think is OK for the driving conditions (30% city and 70% through state highways) on long highway drives i get 25kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth ride, handling is good. the stearing is excellent - very soft during low speads and gets heavier as speed picks up. There is slight body roll while making sharp curves.
Final Words This is a great car if you are in the driver's seat - very powerful, no turbo lag, engine is very refined and feels smooth as silk, easy to drive, low turining radius, can overtake with ease in city and on highway, it is unbelievle how an engine with 63bhps can churn out so much power. Nissan engineers have done a great job with the engine and gear box. This is a high quality product. Don't take extended warrenty, once the free services are done get the service done at Bosch service.
Areas of improvement Service cost , Price, number of service outlets, should (must )provide ABS for diesel, the owners manual should give specific information for the models in India, currently it is made for global market without stating which options/types are avaialble in a specific model in india.
Excellent acceleration, no turbo lag, good fuel economy, drivability, durabilityHigh price, No ABS option for diesel, body roll, Expensive ServiceExterior/Styles

My dear friends,
Please don’t buy Nissan cars, My car which is just 3 month old & I met with Minor accident on 28-10-2012 which has damaged by right front part, I drove vehicle to Nissan dealer on 29-10-2012 & Today its 28-11-2012 & still Nissan says they need another 10 days to get parts to repair. Nissan service center (New Nissan) ordered for parts, They didn’t got parts for 3weeks,
I called up Nissan regional service head Mr Nitin gupta (9167XXXXXX), For my fate I found him so arrogant & uncultured that he directed me to call service dealer to take update on parts & hung phone on my face, I sent him sms back saying am going to update this in all blogs & reviews which is max what a nissan customer’s can do, he didn’t bother to call me back.
I sent couple of mails to Nissan customer support customercare.nissan@hai.net.in, No one called me yet to hear my pain. Finally parts arrived at service center after 3 weeks & Service center took 4days to fix simple parts to discover that there is some more parts required for which I have already informed them in beginning that these parts need to checked.
Now on 23rd Nov they have ordered parts again as emergency requirement, Today its 28th Nov & post giving my peace of my mind to dealer, Service manager says he is help less due to Nissan will take 7 ~ 15days to supply parts which are ordered as emergency requirement.
My humble request to all is not to buy Nissan, If u buy Nissan u will be ashamed of ur self like how am feeling.
It’s becoming torture for me calling every time to service center to take update, These uncultured & ruthless service partner who don’t have any courtesy to call customers to update on their Car,
I am daily travelling by Cab after investing 6.6Lacs on Micra XVD, I regret for not buying cars like Maruti, Hyundai, Honda & Toyota. These companies have not outsourced service to others,
Lot of blogs says that am not alone to face these problems. There are plently who are regretting buying Nissan. Nissan has outsourced their service to Hover company & Nissan is unaware their customer horrible situations. Micra is not designed for India roads, It has lowest road clearance & any small spead breaker can hit below chasis,
I have made up my mind now that I am going to put sticker on my car in big letters as below once I get my car ready, which is not known when it will be ready. To be branding on my Car “Don’t buy Nissan, Nissan don’t have parts & service backup to repair by 2 months”. “If u can wait 2 months for repair then please buy this ugly bug”.
After Anti Nissan branding I will travel all over Delhi NCR for my Life time till I can make every1 aware for not to buy Nissan.
Regards
Anti Nissanite

I bought this car just a month ago ( 14 June 2011) and was really concerned about after sales services and got commitment of excellent after sales services from dealer. I went to BHAGAT NISSAN ,Mohali to get the first services after the running of 1000 kms. I was pretty satisfied with the performance of car, but the main concerned of mine was the services and to my utter shock its the same the way i thought ------PATHETIC , WORST ....
BHAGAT Nissan is the dealer for three brands ( Ford , VOLVO and Nissan ) and they have single workshop for all the brands .. they dont have proper set up to handle the load ... I never felt that i m getting my new car serviced by company's dealer . IT was like a local car washing unit..
I advice you not to go for this brand as they have no focus on after sales service which is actually the main concern.I spent my valuable 6.5 lac on this car and really disappointed .
It is just like the JAPANESE BRAND WITH TYPICAL INDIAN BRAND SERVICES...
Toyota , Honda, Hyundai are really the market rulers ( coz they have understand that if you wana rule the industry you have to be very much focussed on service part.
I have lodged complaint with customer care but it fell on deaf ears ..
Friends i really advice Not to go for this brand if you are in Chandigarh , Coz Bhagat nissan is the only dealer here.

When I went in for the Micra Diesel I had comprehensively driven and mulled over for more than a month the other competitors like the Fabia, Punto, i20 and also the New Swift (could not drive this one :))
Of all the cars the Micra stood out in terms of the sheer brilliance in the drive department. The way the engine delivered both in terms of pickup and linear response made an immediate mark on my mind. I dilly dallied a lot on making this purchase because the removal of certain safety features like the ABS and PS Airbag, hurt a ton. But finally the Nissan brand and the great feeling that I carried with me of the test drives made the day in helping me take a decision.
I have driven the car now for close to a couple of thousand kilometres and the following is what I feel about it
PROs -
1. The Drive - linear power delivery with minimal turbo lag, outstanding pickup and in-gear driveability (20-80 in 3rd gear and 40-100 in 4th)
2. Mileage - In city (in the worst of bangalore traffic and roads) is around 15 kmpl and highway mileage is in the region of 21-23 kmpl
3. On board computer - Gives me on the drive mileage and the mileage for any given trip (I need to reset though) apart from other figures such as DTE. There are 2 trip meters.
4. Seating comfort - I would give it an A- due to non availability of driver seat height adjust. All other passengers including some very huge friends of mine have heaped praise on even the much criticized rear seats of the Micra.
5. Feature listing - the comfort features are brilliant, like the Auto climate control, the start stop button (its amazing), the completely automated mirrors (mirror adjustements as well as open and close) and the 15 inch alloy wheels
6. Stunningly good road clearance - though on paper the ground clearance is just 154 mm, the shock absorbers dont collapse when people sit in the car like most other cars with much higher on paper GC. This has resulted in hardly any serious scraping incidents unlike some of the cars well known for this issue (some of which I owned in the past ;))
7. Shock Absorbers - Good but not outstanding.
8. Internal plastic part quality is very good
CONs
1. Lack of critical safety features like ABS and Passenger Side Airbag
2. Lack of seperate Rear Seat headrests
3. Lack of driver seat height adjust
4. In all of Karnataka there is only one agency called Shahwar Nissan to take handle the car. Nissan seriously needs to have a relook at this strategy if indeed it is one :). So far though service agents and other people in the customer care chain have been good.
5. The internal beige or Greige as Nissan would like to call it is very easily soilable.
6. The gear shifts are not the best in the business but one can live with.
