Hyundai Venue unveiled in India; Launch on 21 May
Hyundai took the covers off the all-new Venue in India as well as at the 2019 New York Motor Show. The first sub-four metre SUV from the Korean carmaker looks radical and comes packed with many segment first features. Hyundai’s BlueLink technology will arrive as well with 33 new connected car features, of which, 10 will be specific to India. When launched, there will be three engine and gearbox options, with 1.0-litre GDI making its way to India.

Mahindra and Ford to co-develop a new mid-size SUV
Mahindra Group and Ford Motor Company have strengthened their strategic partnership in the country by signing an agreement to co-develop an all-new midsize SUV for the domestic as well as emerging markets. The SUV will be based on a Mahindra-developed platform and powertrain. The announcement comes after the companies formed a strategic alliance in September 2017, followed by an agreement in October 2018 to share powertrains and develop connected car solutions.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 1.5L diesel to launch in coming weeks
Maruti Suzuki will soon introduce a new 1.5-litre diesel motor in the Ertiga. Our sources close to the manufacturer tell us that Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 1.5L diesel will be introduced in India in the coming weeks. The 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel engine will be sold alongside the ubiquitous 1.3-litre DDiS 200 mill. The four-cylinder E15A engine generates 94bhp and 225Nm and will be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox.
