Think of iconic cars and there’s a very little chance that you will miss out on the Ford Mustang. For more than half-a-century, the Mustang has been in the American car industry, establishing itself as the ultimate muscle car with every new generation.
Fifty years and five generations later, the latest-gen 2015 Mustang is here and in a totally new avatar. The latest-gen model is quite a big step forward for Ford as it marks the arrival of the brand’s EcoBoost technology which brings turbocharging to the Mustang power-train line-up.
The 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine in the new Mustang has pretty much been kept under wraps with no real detailed photos up on the web, until now. Thanks to dedicated Ford Mustang news source called Mustang Daily, photos of the 2.3-litre unit are out, showing the revolutionary power-train in all its glory.
Designed to offer an impressive blend of performance and economy, this EcoBoost engine has been developed specifically for the Mustang. With a projected power output of more than 310bhp and 407Nm of torque, the EcoBoost engine just about fits the bill for a capable Mustang powerplant.
