Introduction
Ford has introduced the EcoSport S and the EcoSport Signature Edition to bring the compact SUV back in the game. The latest addition is available in both petrol and diesel engine options and is limited to a manual transmission. Interested customers can opt for the limited Signature Edition pack in the Titanium variant as well. New features and visual upgrades are what distinguish the EcoSport S and the EcoSport Signature Edition from the regular model.
What’s good about it?
Starting with EcoSport S, the vehicle comes with a more prominent black treatment for the fog lamp bezel and all-new smoked HID headlamps. The variant also gets a blacked out grille, black painted roof and roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels for that sporty appeal. The variant is offered with orange accents on the seats as well as the instrument panel and an eight-inch infotainment system with SYNC 3. Moreover, it also gets a bigger 4.2-inch digital information cluster along with the tyre pressure monitoring system.
Meanwhile, the EcoSport Signature is offered with an imposing grille with chrome surrounds, black fog-lamp bezel and diamond cut 17-inch alloys. To distinguish itself from the regular version, the vehicle also gets all round graphics, rear spoiler, roof rails and a sunroof. As for the interior, it gets blue accents on the seats, centre console and instrument panel for that standalone appeal.
What’s bad about it?
Both the models are quite pricey over the regular variant. Moreover, the EcoSport S and the EcoSport Signature Edition variants are limited to a manual transmission only. Although the EcoSport S gets the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, EcoBoost engine, it limits the options for potential customers who might be interested in the 1.5-litre petrol version.
The best variant to buy
Well, the choices are pretty simple here, the EcoSport S is for those who loved the older 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine and craved for an interesting set of features, while the EcoSport Signature Edition is basically the fancier iteration of the new Ford EcoSport.
