Ford has launched the Freestyle in India at an introductory price of Rs 5.09 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It’s the American automaker’s new entry-level crossover and can be had with both petrol and diesel power. We have already detailed the car in terms of variants and features and now, here is our take on what else you can buy for the price of various variants of the Ford Freestyle.
Ford Freestyle Ambiente and Ford Freestyle Trend Petrol- Rs 5.09 lakhs, Rs 6.09 lakhs and Rs 5.99 lakhs
The Ambiente variants are priced at Rs 5.09 lakhs and Rs 6.09 lakhs for the petrol and diesel models. These are the entry-level models for the cross hatchback and get just ABS with EBD as well as dual airbags as standard. Also adding to this mix is the Trend petrol variant that is priced at Rs 5.99 lakhs.
For the price of these three variants of the Ford Freestyle you can have the entry and second level variants of the Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Hyundai Elite i20, Hyundai Xcent and of course, Ford’s very own Aspire compact sedan that can be had in the Ambinete petrol trim.
Ford Freestyle Trend diesel, Titanium petrol and Titanium+ petrol- Rs 6.99 lakhs, Rs 6.39 lakhs and Rs 6.94 lakhs
This is where the Freestyle swings a large punch in terms of competing models in the B-segment, where is placed. Its main rival, the Swift, can be had in the VXi AMT trim as well as ZXi manual trim. The Swift’s main rival, the Hyundai Grand i10, offers both petrol and diesel power while rivalling this variant.
On the other side of the price bracket, you can have the Etios Cross, i20 Active Base 1.2, Fiat Urban Cross Active diesel. Hyundai Xcent SX petrol, Ford Aspire Titanium 1.2, Hyundai i20 Magna diesel and the Honda Amaze E diesel.
Ford Freestyle Titanium diesel and Ford Freestyke Titanium+ diesel- Rs 7.35 lakhs and Rs 7.89 lakhs
These are the most expensive versions of the Ford Freestyle and in this price bracket, one can only avail of the diesel models as the Titanium+ petrol is in the price bracket. For the price of these models, you can have the Maruti Suzuki Swift VDi AMT, Hyundai Grand i10 Asta diesel, Toyota Etios Cross 1.4 GD, Toyota 1.5 petrol V, Fiat Avventura dynamic diesel, Hyundai Xcent S AT, Hyundai Xcent S diesel and the Ford Aspire Titanium 1.5 diesel.
