All the modern all-wheel drive systems are front-wheel biased because they are safer and fuel efficient. But Polestar has decided to add some spice to this dreary balance-sheet-friendly life of automotive enthusiasts.
While Polestar has come out from under Volvo’s wings to become a full-stack carmaker, it still continues to tweak Volvos for performance and handling. So, as a part of the new ECU software, Polestar will make sure that the rear axle always gets a bit more power than the front, thus making the Volvo tail-happy. And by incorporating the new Volvos' glamorous looks, it seems that Polestars might turn out to be what we expected from the yesteryear BMWs – fun and luxury!
Polestar offers performance upgrades for the 90 and the 60 Series Volvos and also the XC40 and this upgrade will work with the AWDs. While Volvo hasn’t offered Polestar services as yet in India, we do have the V90, the S60 Cross Country and the XC series of SUVs that can certainly do with a little more fun for those who want it.
