A few months earlier we covered VW’s intent to launch more than 30 electric powered vehicles by the year 2025. However, sources now add that the Paris Motor Show is expected to host VW’s first electric vehicle.
Earlier, VW claimed that more electric vehicles would be the need of the hour to abide by the tight limits on CO2 emissions. Reports have now confirmed that VW’s upcoming electric vehicle is likely to run between 400km and 600km on a single charge! Though, the claim is as per ideal conditions, the real figure could be in the region of 480km and is remarkable.
Going forward, there are a number of speculations about the body style of the vehicle that will be displayed at the Paris Motor Show. Whether it could be a version of the BUDD-e or a hatchback that boasts a huge boot space, it is highly likely that the car is still in the early prototype stage. This electric vehicle could also find its way to international markets by 2019.
After all that the car maker has been through over the last few months, this change towards empowering their cars of the future with viable and sustainable power generation, looks to be promising.
