Volkswagen is believed to be working on a design philosophy for its cars. A report from Autocar UK suggests that the German automaker will be redesigning elements on the fascia but will retain the overall shape that has defined its cars for so many years.
The report, which quotes and names a company insider, states that the Sportsvan concept compact MPV is 134mm longer than the current Golf-based MPV and 83mm longer than the Golf hatchback. The German automaker has already said that this vehicle when launched in production form will get a completely new name.
This will be the first vehicle to be branded with this philosophy and it is almost certain that all the other vehicles will get the design traits within the next two years.
