Volvo’s upcoming concept car, the Concept XC SUV has been leaked before the official unveiling. The images portray the new design of the upcoming XC90.
The two-door concept car, seen in the pictures, borrows traits from the outgoing XC 90. It is the compact version of the present SUV and is expected to act as the base for the production version of the next-generation Volvo SUV. According to the automaker, the Concept XC will boast the traditional Scandinavian design cues along with the integration of safety and technology.
The styling elements of this concept SUV indicate the usage of futuristic design. Led by Thomos Ingenlath, the design team has exhibited the Concept XC which is supposedly the second sketch out of the three designs planned by Volvo.
The first design study from the automaker was the Volvo Concept Coupé exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show. Most of the upcoming cars from Volvo were expected to underpin the scalable platform architecture that the car had. This new concept, the XC will be based on the same platform. Volvo will unveil this car by the end of this year which will act as a base for the final version of one of the XC-badged vehicles from the carmaker.
