Volvo has finally launched the much awaited XC40 in India in a top-spec R-Design variant. It is the smallest SUV offering from the Swedish car manufacturer in the country and it offers radar-based driving and safety systems.
The grille gets a black treatment which complement the smoked headlamps and signature Thor Hammer LED daytime running lights
The SUV sits on a sporty set of dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels and is flanked by black ORVMs. The sporty character can be seen on the sides as well.
At the rear, the XC40 gets the signature vertically oriented smoked LED taillamps and a large rear spoiler.
The small SUV offers premium upholstery and a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The vehicle further comes with leather stitching on the steering wheel and gear knob.
The vehicle gets a sunroof and seven airbags as standard.
The XC40 offers ample boot space of 432-litres.
The XC40 is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, in-line, twin turbo engine that generates 187bhp of power and 400Nm of torque.Â
