- Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge console to feature a three-seat layout
- The model will be offered with the same 2.0-litre petrol engine
Swedish brand Volvo is all set to launch a premium variant of the XC90 known as the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console on 3 September. The model will feature a three-seat layout as compared to the four-seat layout on the ‘regular’ XC90 Excellence variant.
The upcoming Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console is likely to be available in limited numbers as the official invite refers to the model as a limited edition work of art. As for the features, the model will have a three-seat layout where the front passenger seat will be replaced by a new unit that will house a storage compartment, large pop-out touchscreen system and a rising leg rest.
Save for the aforementioned changes, the XC90 Excellence Lounge Console by Volvo will carry over all the features available on the standard XC90 Excellence model including the in-car refrigerator, crystal glasses and champagne flute holders.
Powering the new Volvo XC90 Excellence Lounge Console will be the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that is turbocharged as well as supercharged. This engine is paired to an electric motor that produces a combined power output of 401bhp and 640Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
